Beware of fraud sales at Ellisville
Beware of fraud sales at Ellisville, MO local store. We have been a customer for three years. Decided to upgrade iPhones, via AT&T Christmas promo. Went to Ellisville, MO Local store. Rep completed upgrade for our three iPhone 14’s to new 17’s. Gave us a very competitive monthly plan.
I receive a welcome letter from AT&T a few days latter. First new payment was 3 times what we discussed, and recurring payment was double what we discussed. Went back to Ellisville store for an explanation. Saw same Rep, told me he could not see bill, and bill will straighten out after 2-3 months.
Called Customer Service, found out the Rep added 2 additional unauthorized lines to my account. Reps are doing this because they are paid on how many lines they sell.
Spent 3 hours on trying to unravel this mess. Because I did not bring this to Customer Services’s attention in first two weeks, they cannot reverse transactions so I am liable for payment. I asked to escalate to a manager, was told it would be one hour!
Spoke to Fraud Div, looking into case, will take 7-10 business days. The way this was handled, there is a high probability this is a common issue. Hmmm…
For a F500 company to have this many issues, very concerning.

Worst AT&T service ever
Worst customer service ever from AT&T. Just got off a very long call with someone in India. Lots of communications challenges. They would not transfer me to any US-based call center. The local AT&T store insisted that we had to pay for a new phone on installments and that their system would not accept full payment for the phone. I don’t think so. The rep from India could not explain why the email we just got from AT&T stated that our per line cost went up $10/line and no discounts were shown on the email notice. The rep from India took about 25 minutes that could have taken 5-8 minutes in the US (just a hunch). No wonder the wait times are so long. VERY disappointed in AT&T. I’d try Verizon if I were you.

Paid for internet in my home two months…
Paid for internet in my home two months ago. Haven't received it yet but been harassed about my bill for no service and told I couldn't get it until I paid my bill for the service I still haven't received. Paid it. No service still and completely disabled app. I was punished for paying my bill for a service never delivered. Still don't have internet

Mother-in-law Bell!
In reviewing wind damage after Beryl, an AT&T field crew found it necessary to discuss my property, and my service account, with a neighbor, instead of me.
On personal inspection, I discovered a downed, branch "Y" . putting great stress on my cable line. Instead of coming over the fence, to look at their property directly, they told the neighbor the debris must be cleared, before they could take any action.
The hazard could have, easily, been eliminated, by a single person lifting up the "Y" and clearing the threat, by hand. Except, like all field service companies, it is much more convenient finding a long distance excuse not to work, instead of taking a few seconds for any objective consideration.
Hey, AT&T, we have had a contract, with "Ma Bell", for over 40 years; and, I am home, practically, 24/7. While I am crippled, I am not A cripple. You can speak with me.
