Our son has a diagnosed learning disability specifically in math so the subject has always been a struggle. Thankfully Peter from A Traveling Teacher paired him up with a great tutor that has been incredibly helpful. His tutor is patient and keeps the mood light which is a huge help to limit frustration and allow him to think through each step. We’re grateful for such wonderful support and highly recommend A Traveling Teacher.

Peter and his company have helped me tremendously. I was never given the foundation to succeed when it came to math, specifically algebra, so when a college algebra course popped up in my curriculum this semester I had no idea what to do. As an educator, I value good educational support. Justin was an excellent tutor who helped my daughter in college Chemistry II. Since my son was out of school for a portion of the year due to an illness the school supplied tutoring for him through A traveling teacher. We had the most amazing tutor that made teaching fun for him. She was patient, enthusiastic and fun. My son had a great time each session, during the process of getting the tutoring set up it was easy, quick and any questions I had were answered. As a homeschool mom, my very first experience with 'zoom' learning has been with A Traveling Teacher -- we love our teacher, he has connected with my daughters and quickly assessed where she was in the subject we chose. He has been prompt, professional and personable all while keeping my daughter engaged and interested. We love this format b/c we don't have to leave our home and she is getting the personal attention we desire. She is moving ahead quickly and without any time wasted (the way classroom time can have what I call dead air) -- on the contrary, my daughter is getting all of the 30 mins just for her and it is showing in her progression. I love this company!

Communication is superb. Peter makes A Traveling Teacher very easy to work with and found a tutor (Jospeh) right away for our daughter, who is studying for the SATs and wanted to improve her skills. We are lucky to have found A Traveling Teacher for our 5th grader. Coming out of the pandemic, it was obvious that our daughter had missed some math fundamentals and was struggling with confidence as well. She made a great connection with Mr L, and she has clearly learned a lot. My son was having trouble with Algebra 2, but Peter assured me he and his team would be able to help. Peter set up a tutoring session with Joseph within a day or two because my son had a quiz coming up at the end of the week. True to his word, after just one session working with Joseph, my son's quiz grade in Algebra 2 improved over 30 points! Joseph has provided my son with the one on one attention he needs to review material, ask questions, build his confidence, and ultimately improve his math grade. In addition to Joseph's terrific tutoring help, part of the services Peter provides is to check-in weekly with both my son's math teacher and me assuring everyone is on the same page and working together towards the same goal: an improved math grade and happier learning experience. We are grateful we found A Traveling Teacher and recommend this company without reservation to anyone who needs individualized tutoring help.
