My husband ordered a transmission for a 2006 uplander from them on 7–2-19 they say 7-10 business days but I have yet to see a transmission I have call 4 or 5 times now talked to 3 different people not count chats with Kevin told it would be here 7-18-19 didn’t happen then called on 7-19-19 was told it would be here today 7-23-19 not got my hopes up by the way paid with credit card they have my number Ronald williams

Yes, the uplanders are custom built per year make model engine size and fwd or AWD year specific. The unit has to go through a thorough testing procedure and is not on shelf but built specific. We encountered an issue in testing and caught it and had to remanufacture a second one. Sorry for the delay but we will get this to you quickly seeing as you have been waiting a while. Thanks

I ordered a transmission from them…
I ordered a transmission from them about 6 months ago first it took over a month to get her after it was suppost to be 7 to 10 business days and when it finally got here it didnt have overdrive and was slow into reverse so then the shop calls them and lets them know 2-3 weeks go by my shop trying to reach them no answer and then when they finally do they want codes so my shop sends them codes and 2 more weeks go by with no call back finally have to call them again see what's taking so long and one of there people talked to my shop but never took it down so just complete neglect on his job so finally here I am still with no truck no good transmission and waiting on another "call back" needless to say would not recommend this company to no one spend the extra money else were and get good parts and good service from somewhere else

Matt that’s just not true or fair. First of all you have the transmission at a shop that claims to have been communicating with us but hasn’t. Also we have already agreed if it is not repairable we would cover cost of labor to remove and reinstall and send you another one. No company does that. I apologize if our response time is slow but respectfully you have both technical support numbers and can reach us anytime. It is difficult to want to keep someone that goes online to tell people bad things about us and expect us to foot the bill on everything I personally have dealt with warranty companies that never covered my parts especially aftermarket warranties on used vehicles. In saying that we have never denied you any of your rights and also haven’t even had a chance to inspect vehicle or product ourselves and are taking a ships word for it. In saying that we can pick up product you claim Dede give and refund you or we are already on the works of sending a new replacement which you were advised already and picking up original and assisting with the labor. Not sure where we acted in bad faith. Whenever there’s a trans issue it is complicated and we always get blamed yet we still work tirelessly to help out and reduce costs and go above and beyond our actual policy which doesn’t cover labor because we are a good company. We aren’t perfect but neither is anyone yet our goal is to be. Ergo defect lean manufacturing techniques right out of ford engineering playbook and incorporated into our quality management system. It’s unfortunate you resorted to this type of public broadcast when we are and plan on handling everything sight unseen without even having the product back to verify. I understand your frustration but at no time has anyone here acted in bad faith or not concerned for your situation.

I ordered a transmission for a 96…
I ordered a transmission for a 96 caprice it was almost 2 months before they took my money off my card they said I would have my transmission with 2 to 3 business days I didn't receive it until a month later when the transmission got there it didn't have a tail shaft cover I grabbed the shaft u could move it up and down while hearing a clunking sound in the transmission I refused the transmission I called them and told them how the transmission was when it got there they went on talking about I didn't receive tail shaft because of different vehicles it could go in and that it must have been damaged in shipping 2 weeks later I still calling about my money I guess I'm going to have to report them dont trust them

Respectfully this is "honestly" uttterly ridiculous. Out of our over 70,000 transmissions that have been produced, inspected, and shipped over the past 13 years or more we have had a 98.4% customer success rate. As a degree'd engineer and practiced quality manager and technical adviser i am going to say this to each and every person who does read this. Consider these facts. 1. The transmission comes to a shop, or part store, or customer as a factory rebuild built to Original equipment manufacturer specifications fully tested. We do not put tailhousings or t-case adapters on them because they are bridges and not functional components of the product but we do send the new seal and O-ring so the installer can switch their tailhousing from their core to the rebuilt transmission so it mates properly to the mating part. We do not CHARGE A CORE CHARGE or get it back which is a huge convenience to every customer and over and above what any other competitor out there would do so it should be appreciated. This particular customer spoke with Jay and was concerned over end play in the output shaft on their product because you could wiggle it up and down and around. Just so everyone knows a tailshaft on a Chevy 4L60e that is for a 2 wheel drive is always loose like that it sticks out about 18" what ties it in or locks it into place is the tailhousing application through the output hole and locking it into place with the drive shaft u-joint yoke. This is obviously someone that doesn't understand how these things work or what they are like before being put in. So this product never should have been refused anyway. I overheard Jay on this conversation let these people know that their will be endplay in the shaft until they lock it into place with the U-joint and drive shaft. We still will honor these peoples wishes because that product was just re-routed to a customer invoice 22154 and they received it, removed tailhousing off of their core, applied the rear seal an o-ring and resealed it to unit then hooked it to the drive shaft. It is working perfectly. I usually do not mind handling things with tolerance if and when we may have been late or behind or a customer has a valid complaint. This one I cannot and will not defend this particular customer for their lack of knowledge and not being appreciative of not having to pay a core charge or return a core yet cannot use their tailhousing because their are different speed sensor and support mounts per vehicle application.. These 4L60e's are interchangeable per vehicle application. Thanks to everyone sorry so long but I honestly cannot agree with the logic of this particular customer complaint in good faith and all honesty. Anyone else that knows about chevy 4L60e's would agree with me if they were being honest.
7-16-19 Just spoke with customer and he didn't have a tailhousing his was cracked and he had already refused the freight according to Danny here so it was kind of too late to send them one. We were unaware he needed a tailshaft prior to this.

Poor customer service
Dont know what's going on with my transmission keep getting told it is going to ship and it's been more than a month still no transmission.
Update: have had many phone conversations with customer service and keep getting lied to. Was given a tracking number that doesn't even register yet.
Response from AtransmissionsJul 16, 2019

If This is Jody Christopher I have copies of the codes they sent to us I have it in my email listen to this
P0102 mass air flow circuit signal low
mass air flowcircuit signal high
P0140 low 028 activity bank 1 sensor 2
P0141 02 heater circuit bank1 sensor 2
P0160 low028 acitvity bank 2 sensor 2
P0420 catalyst efficiency low bank 1
last but not least transmission slipping p1870 - will slip with all that stuff
With these codes all engine and exhaust codes you will have low or no power and never shift correctly.. also the notes state they have same problem they had before. Of course

Lasted all of 2 weeks
Lasted all of 2 weeks. Took it to a local shop (as I should have done in the first place) rather than paying for round trip shipping. Once they had a look inside, they said they were amazed it had worked at all due to incorrect parts used during the rebuild. I'll use a local shop again in the future rather than rolling the dice

jacob, we have been in business here in Bay City since December of 2012, transplanted from Saginaw founded in 1996. We are an industry leader in factory rebuilding automatic transmissions. I can provide you with a video live showing our operation and the manufacturing process live as to our product quality. Our delay in getting it to you is not intended but something we are slowly working through without trying to raise our prices to slow it down. If that transmission had a problem with it someone should have called before it ever left the shop. Why would a shop put it in, test drive it, say it is OK, charge you for it and let you take it if there was something wrong with it. So we did our job correctly obviously apparantly there is something going on with the vehicle contributing to the loss and despite all of that we are a no fault guarantee company and will provide you with a replacement part. We will even consider offering labor as well which is outside of contract if we were negligent in our rebuild process but if we were it would have never left the shop installing it. How can there be incorrect parts in it, and a shop installed it, collected your money, and let you leave and it worked. Just curious. We stand behind our product probably as much as if not more then any other company. It troubles me you had to go online and write a bad review about us based upon what a shop that charged you for the transmission and let you leave with it says. If you would like a warranty replacement call us and we will provide you with it. Also, we will provide technical advice to help you prevent this from happening again.
Jake, respectfully almost all transmission shops do that to other peoples product by bad mouthing them so that they can get your business and keep it local and many overcharge for less.. Just statistical facts. Thanks sir.

Purchased defective rebuilt transmission, No refund after 2 months
I purchased in the total amount of $900.00, with a credit card, a rebuilt transmission from your company (A Transmissions/Got All Auto Parts) on 4/1/19. This transmission was for my 2005 Chevrolet Suburban 2 wheel drive 5.3 V8. After professional installation of the "A Transmission" rebuilt transmission, the transmission would not shift. I contacted by phone , Kevin at your office, and told him the "A Transmissions" rebuilt transmission would not shift and that I would be shipping the defective transmission back to A Transmissions, for a full refund of the $900.00. Kevin agreed with me and asked that I call Kelly Lowe in accounting to set up the shipping pick up of your defective transmission, for the shipping labels, and for the refund of my $900.00. Kelly Lowe emailed me, on 5/6/19, with return shipping labels for the defective transmission. This defective transmission was picked up by your shipping Company (R&L Carriers) and delivered back to your company address of A Transmissions, 100 South River Road, Bay City Michigan 48708 , on 5/10/19. I verified this with R&L Carriers. I started calling, on 5/13/19, your office, at (989)891-9212, every week day, and spoke with your office representatives, Kelly Lowe, Shannon, Angel, and others. Each time your representatives would tell me that your accounting office would be mailing me a bank certified check , in the dollar amount of $900.00 for my refund of the defective rebuilt transmission. As of now, 7/13/19, over 2 months later I have never received any calls, emails, or my $900.00 refund, from "A Transmissions" or "Got All Auto Parts". The "A Transmissions" and "Got All Auto Parts" company office representatives have verbally misled and lied directly to me about refunding me my $900.00, which is still in your company's possession. I have formally contacted both the State of Michigan Attorney Generals Office and the United States Federal Trade Commission, filing formal detailed complaints against "A Transmissions" and "Got All Auto Parts" of Bay City, Michigan, requesting that they perform formal legal investigation of your company's illegal activity, and to get your 2 companies, to refunding my $900.00, in the form of a legal bank certified check, made out directly to me, Mark Kosclskey, and overnight mail this check directly to me. The bank must be a bank operating only in the USA, that is still in good standing to conduct legal good honest business . I also requested that "A Transmissions" and or "Got All Auto Parts", send me an email, providing me with the mail tracking number of the certified check. If both of your companies wish to conduct honest legal business, you will immediately resolve my complaint, by immediately mailing my refund check of $900.00. Thank you for your cooperation, Mark Kosclskey

Our manufacturing facility utilized lean manufacturing techniques and a quality management system with a 0 defect goal in its design to ensure quality remanufactured fully tested automatic transmissions built to print. In saying that the customer had a problem with their unit. Regardless of fault their wish was to return it for a full refund and someone at our company agreed to it then that is what we will do. I’ll look into this and get it straightened out. I am sure this name will appear in our database.
7-17-19 spoke with these folks via email.. I now understand that they cancelled their credit card and do not use paypal so we would have just refunded payment to them via credit card but have to mail them a check. Not a problem at all... As long as we received product back and it was the one we sent regardless of fault we will refund period not an issue

-5 star review
I ordered my transmission on 5/26/19. I was told 5 to 7 business days. So after 7 business days i call to see what is going on and i am informed that it hasn't even been shipped. I finally get my transmission and install it only to find out that 3rd and 4th gear barely grab. I call and inquire and im told that sometimes there is a break in period(never heard of such a thing on a transmission ). I was told break in is roughly 500 miles. 3rd and 4th gears totally failed by 475 miles and trans fluid stinks like burning metal. After having it sent back to the shop tech calls and tells me its a cooler issue and i didn't have time to debate the matter as i was working. As the day goes on i think about the fact that i have an autometer trans temp guage that never once exceded 185 190 degree area except for when 3rd and 4th slipped into oblivion the temp skyrocketed. The transmission gets picked up 6/29. they received it the following day and again im told 5-7 business days for my replacement. Here we are 7/12 and my transmission hasn't even left the shop. I was told just yesterday that i had a 100percent guarantee that it would leave today. Now im being told it will leve by monday. My advice is stay far away and shop locally.

Our reman units are fully tested and built to gm print with updates. Obviously this one was good at first because the person drove it almost 509 miles. Not sure who installed it if certified or not and why anyone would ever release a vehicle to a customer and accept their installation money without at least a 20-30 mile test drive. If one of our tech people I didn’t handle you appropriately in your opinion the we will take care of that internally. I. Saying that I agree regardless of fault we are to take care of your needs in a timely fashion . I’ll contact you Monday morning and straighten this out tha ks
