BEWARE
BEWARE My challenge with this company was not publication itself. My book already existed before the publisher began editing, and those editing services were completed, however dissapointing. My concerns arose after payment was made in full and the project moved into the marketing and promotional phase. The services that were presented as helping authors build visibility and reach readers did not produce the results that were represented to me. The areas where I experienced the greatest disappointment were discoverability, audience building, reader acquisition, sales conversion, and brand development for my author platform, Richtor Allen. These were the services I believed would provide the most value, yet I received little evidence of meaningful progress in those areas. The author webpage created for me also had functional issues. Specifically, the contact author feature did not provide a working method for readers to submit inquiries. I reported these problems multiple times and requested specific corrections from two separate representatives. The issues remain unresolved. As a result, potential readers have had no practical way to contact me through the website, which likely limited opportunities to generate leads and build an audience. I was also informed that audience demographic data such as locations, age ranges, and gender could not be provided by my Instagram posts made ,by the publisher, because fewer than 100 accounts had interacted with the account. This reflected the broader concern I had regarding the limited audience engagement generated during the 5 months, thus far,in their campaign for The Book of Lyfe, by Richtor Allen.. While publication services were completed, my overall experience was disappointing because the marketing, visibility, and audience-development services did not meet my expectations based on the representations made to me. I invested a couple thousand dollars, a significant amount of money, with the expectation of receiving professional support in building readership and author visibility, and I did not see results that justified that investment. This review reflects my personal experience of this vanity publisher.
