The Ask Method Company sold me an online offer which setup an automatic subscription with Bucket.io for $119 per month. This I found out was in Bucket.io T's & C's. When I noticed the charge and tried to cancel it I had to do it via a support channel with Bucket.io which took around two weeks. I'd just like to warn others to watch out for this.
Response from The ASK Method CompanyJun 23, 2025
Thank you for your feedback, and we're sorry to hear about your experience with the Bucket.io subscription.
To clarify: when you registered for our 1-day training, it included a trial offer for Bucket.io, a third-party software tool we recommend. While we partnered with Bucket.io to provide access during the training, any ongoing subscription or billing comes directly from Bucket.io, not The ASK Method Company. We do not receive or process payments for Bucket.io software, and your training purchase with us was a one-time charge.
We completely understand how frustrating unexpected charges can be, and we’re glad you were able to get it resolved through their support team.
If you have any lingering questions, feel free to reach out to our support team—we’re here to help.

What a scam
What a scam. This is a really expensive program in which Ryan will use all of the trainings to upsell you and market his programs to other people. My coach who was supposed to be an expert in marketing had little to add (she was really kind and cool- just not skilled enough to be a coach in a $16k program). They say they are going to hold your hand through the whole process but what really happens is they just send you to watch more videos to try to teach yourself. You spent $16k for coaching not a library of videos. I wasted soo much time with this useless program. Nearly everyone in my cohort had the same experience. What a huge ripoff.

We are sorry to hear that you elected to not take advantage of the other aspects of the program that are available to all members.
Each month provided live training opportunities where there was coaching-only content without any sales content.
We also provided small group calls in addition to your monthly 1-1 calls and access to both live and recorded trainings.
We also had marketing experts around the clock across 3 continents ready to answer specific marketing questions in our coaching community and provided live Q&As with them as well.
In addition, bootcamps are 3-day long 24+ hour training events of which there are 1-2 optional sales segments for our general audience members totaling approximately 90 minutes over the course of the three days.
If you didn’t feel you were getting value from your coach, there was nothing preventing you from asking us to be switched. This happens from time to time and we have made coach switches. Had you come to us requesting this, we would have been happy to accommodate you.
According to our records, you elected to NOT ATTEND the following LIVE small group calls or trainings which are also included in the program that are all provided in addition to 1-1 monthly calls and training library Access. Each training provided a workbook resource to accompany the live training.

You did share feedback in October 2021 after attending one of the LIVE calls. Sharing that feedback below:

The Ask Method is a sham of a "coaching" program
I joined the Ask Method "Coaching" Program thinking that it would be the best way to get my small solopreneur business off the ground.
I believed that coaches would be invested in helping me become successful and that I would learn simple ways to market effectively online - via a quiz funnel, specifically, but also webinars, etc.
Unfortunately, this was NOT the case.
The program was so convoluted to the point where it would take months just to properly create a funnel. But finally, I went through all the training and "bootcamps" and created my first funnel.
Here's where the catch is.
>>> Their program is 100% reliant on facebook ads. <<<
Which isn't mentioned in their marketing when you're considering joining the course.
I had a lot of difficulty getting my ads setup and the one video in their "training library" was completely outdated so it offered no help.
I asked for personal help to get my ad running but was just given some lackluster advice on the facebook group that didn't help at all.
I ended up having to pay someone outside of the program to get my ads up and running and spent thousands of dollars on ads without any sales resulting from it.
It's not the fact that the ads or funnels didn't work that I have an issue with, it's the fact that this program is marketed as a 1-on-1 "coaching" program.
I would expect a marketing or business "coach" to help me figure out what is going wrong and find what will work.
When I asked for a refund for my $1k deposit for the next year of coaching they refused to give it to me even though I had a terrible experience and hadn't started the next year of coaching yet.
Some seriously sad and calloused customer service at Ask.
In my opinion, it's clear that Ryan Levesque and the Ask Method just isn't focused on their customer's success as much as getting their money.
Tl;dr - I just didn't receive the "personalized coaching" that should have been provided for a pricepoint of over $15k! And the complete reliance on facebook ads should have been transparent from the beginning since it will cost you thousands of dollars to get going. They just want your money, not committed to your success.
EDIT in regard to their response: Their response is everything you need to know. They clearly don't care about ensuring good customer service. They will just defend themselves that YOU didn't attend this-that-or-the-other-thing. Obviously after I realized the coaching isn't personalized, the video training is sub-par, and there is no in-depth 1-on-1 help... of course I'm not going to continue attending and trying and failing! You can only burn out with no help for so long. If you're thinking of giving money to the Ask Method, do yourself a favor and RUN in the other direction.

Facebook ads are not required to participate in our program. Though we do have content that teaches how to drive cold traffic to ads, we have plenty of individuals who are successful using our strategies without solely relying on Facebook ads.
We are sorry that you didn’t take advantage of other aspects of the program made available to all members.
In addition to having monthly 1-1 calls, regular small group calls, live trainings and live Q&As with marketing experts, we have a global community of marketing experts who time and time again provide detailed and specific strategic feedback in our coaching community. Our coaching admin team pushes out these requests M-F three times a day to our marketing expert team.
According to our records, you only leveraged 6 of the 12 calls offered to you and did not participate in the following live trainings where multiple members of our coaching and marketing expert team is present supporting our members with questions, feedback and more:
Ask-A-Coach Live Q&A w/marketing Experts - Jan 27, 2022
Fractional Team Bootcamp Kickoff Call - Feb 8, 2022
Fractional Team Bootcamp Feb 22-24, 2022
Quarterly Strategic Planning - March 22, 2022

Ask Method and its senior management are dead inside…
The founder of this company and his associates are dead inside. I can't name them specifically because it would go against Trustpilot guidelines. Other reviewers below have had similar issues with the same petty individuals who responded to my review asking for their names to be removed...
Rather than doing the right thing by a client they're so petty that they're debating the phrasing of an honest review of their services.
More than ever I cannot recommend their services.
Earlier this year I bought into their Quiz Funnel Masterclass at a cost of $1999 USD. This was a group coaching package.
I liked Ryan's approach and with this in mind decided to accept one of their upsells and signed up for their $15,450 USD Coaching Program. I enthusiastically made the initial payment then was struck down by a tragedy.
My partner died of COVID.
As you can imagine this did not leave me in the best mental state to pursue their Coaching Program.
I explained my horrendous situation to the coach I had been allocated and the member of senior management (you can only get one person more senior than this person...). The coach was empathetic but that member of senior management was all about the money.
Frankly I'm surprised that she wouldn't have a better understanding of the lifetime value of a customer...
To be clear, for the money I'd already paid them the company had done absolutely nothing. I hadn't even completed their onboarding questionnaire so they had my money for nothing.
All I asked them was for a simple refund of what I'd paid to them so that I could cover some of the costs that I suddenly had to cover alone.
And despite my tragic loss clearly, this was too much of a big request. They fell back on their soulless terms and conditions.
This is the kind of company they are. All about the money and not enough about the human side of business.
I find it utterly puzzling that a company would treat a loyal client in this way.
I've read the other reviews and they're pretty much spot on. Their experience jives with mine.
Update 270723:
Their response below says it all.
Lots of cut and paste and no soul.
You definitely knew about this as I told the coach (who shares my last name) about it. I'm also fairly sure your founder's wife and I exchanged several emails about it on 03 September 2021 at 19:46
50% refund when I'd used 0% of your service?
When travelers suffer a bereavement their airline flies them all the way home, not just half-way.
This little interaction was your opportunity to rise above, do the right thing and change your tune.
The Ask Method Company doing so badly it can't afford to refund a bereaved customer $2995. Wow.
You could be absolute rockstars but instead you're just a sad and petty operation.
Response from The ASK Method CompanyJul 27, 2023
We are so very sorry to hear of your tragic loss of your partner since this is the first we are hearing of the relationship to you of the person you lost. You joined the program in July 2021. According to your first reach out to us on Sept 1, 2021 your email reads:
"Hello there,
I'm afraid that I'm not at all in the right place for this program and would like to ask you for a full refund.
I have not been able to engage in any way with the program and any of the content and whilst in principle I like the idea, this post-pandemic year is not the right one to start as I'm fully occupied in other areas of my businesses to give it the attention it requires.
Please get back to me on this matter.
Kind regards, "
When we responded to your message citing our policies, you then shared a line in your next email mentioning a “death of a loved one” which we are happy to provide text for but want to respect your privacy.
So we offered you the following options on Sept 3, 2021:
Hi ____,
______ has filled me in a bit about your call together, and I'm terribly sorry to hear how things have been going for you and your family.
I would like to propose a solution that has been discussed between ____ and ________ that we feel may work for you.
We would like to offer you the opportunity to pause your membership temporarily until November 1, 2021. Your access and payments would be paused and then resume again on November 1st.
This means you can focus on everything you need to right now and our team can help you come November and take advantage of all resources, events then. It would also extend your membership [end] date from July 2022 to September 2022.
The second option is to refund the most recent charge of $2995 that was processed on September 1st and remove all access to the Coaching program effective immediately.
Please just let me know which option you'd like to move forward with and I can work with the Coaching Team to make it happen..
Thanks so much!
Ultimately, we wound up refunding you 50% of your fees. We are sorry the timing did not work out for you and wish you much success.
