loan amount split equally between the semesters
set up was easy, interest rate pretty good, nice feature to adjust payments options that displays total interest charged payment premiums etc. Not impressed that the loan was split equally between the semesters. It was not clear that this would happen and we did not see an option while setting up the loan to choose to use it to pay the first semester up front.

Too old to handle this
When I co-signed my grandson's student loan, I realized that I was now on the hook for what he borrowed. What I didn't realize was the extent to which I would be hearing from the lender. Since I am 85 years old and not comfortable with electronic devices, directions to do something were unsettling.

This is why the loan appears on your credit report, which is standard practice for all cosigned loans.
