If there was a zero stars option, I would have chosen that. Deplorable experience and even worse customer service model. The latter is non-existent. We purchased a motherboard and RAM, both made in China. In an email trail, they admitted to their in-house Shipper labelling all items to Canada as the same classification. In our case, that equated to "machinery". This resulted in duties, taxes, and tariffs as machinery is considered a steel product. We were billed by Canada Customs based on their incorrect classification more than the cost of the products we purchased. Their representative stated by email that their In-House Shipper labels all goods to Canada as the same classification, and does so on a daily basis. When I informed them that the shipping documents I received had an incorrect classification, they met me with denial and a refusal to escalate the call to their Shipper/Receiver or their Supervisor. Asking for the specification sheets to submit to Canada Customs, as part of the appeal process, was met with them sending us screenshots from their website and not spec sheets. They continue to send by email unrelated explanations related to controlled goods and shipping (not pertaining to our shipment). If you are a Canadian buyer, beware of their shipping practices, but definitely, their lack of customer service.

Be very careful, bad experience, I bought a new one and it arrived broken and unusable, then they contact you to return one more nasa part of the purchase in exchange for a good score and a good comment, in reality it seems like a way of acting, I do not recommend it, I bought a brand new motherboard and it arrived brandbroken. It cost me 73 and they only wanted to refund 20, nothing fair.

I found a laptop mobo that I've been trying to find for months and found one on AscendTech. After careful scrutiny and confirming with Vlad at AscendTech the item was "new" (pulled from an unsold system), I bought it for $229. I wrote a good review. However I just got an email stating the item is damaged and order was cancelled. W-T-H?!?! This company sucks and I'll never shop with them again. Thank god my card wasn't charged! I retrtact my positive review feedback.

Horrible company stay away at all cost lets work together to put them out of business stop buying from them save yourself the frustration and lost time stay away.

agrees a return of faulty item . Asks you to pay for return and they will refund it. it never happens after being fobbed off 3 times

Purchased a motherboard via NewEgg from Ascendtech. Waited for it, it came, I drove it to the tech holding my laptop for 3 weeks, they installed it and the motherboard had a BIOS PASSWORD ON IT. Called Ascendtech, Inc. and was told they get boards in "bulk" and had no idea the BIOS was password protected. Had to drive 40 minutes to pick up the board and send it back to Ascendtech - received full refund but all this installation, removal, etc. cost me LABOR with the tech place. I am into a 10 year old gaming laptop for over $650 now. I needed to repair this system because it was running RAID STRIPPED ARRAY and I did not back up the system before it crashed in mid-JUNE! WHO SELLS A MOTHERBOARD THAT HAS A PASSWORD ON THE BIOS???? I've never had an issue with NewEgg but Ascendtech is one of their sellers and I will NEVER, EVER USE ASCENDTECH AGAIN! This nonsense cost me hours of labor! I could have bought a new system for $650+ (I buy only gaming machines because of the software I use) and Ascendtech cost me extra weeks and LABOR HOURS because of a password. WHO PASSWORD PROTECTS THEIR BIOS AND THEN SELLS A MOTHERBOARD TO SOMEONE????

The worst by far. Send me a faulty motherboard to South Africa for R1389.43 but knew that we will not ship it back because of the cost of R830.00. Never buy from them

This company is unbelievable. They sold me a broken computer that blue-screened 4 times in two days. I called tech support and they told me I should try to fix it myself. I sent it back and they charged me a re-stocking fee... on a BROKEN computer! I called to explain that I shouldn't have been charged a re-stocking fee and the MANAGER of customer service told me that the tech team ran the computer for 3 days and it didn't blue screen, so I would still be charged the $85 re-stocking fee. I told her I had called Tech support about it and told them about the blue screens, so they know there was an issue. She essentially told me I must be lying since they didn't see it happen there. I asked if she thought it was possible that the tech team just didn't use it in a way that caused the issue to show itself. She said, no that is impossible. Unbelievable. My only recompense, now, is this review, which is going on every site I can find. What an incredibly ignorant way to run a business.
