As a point of fact, this is one of the most unsafe and potentially dangerous ranges I have ever experienced. To be clear, I have used this range at least once a week for well over ten years primarily for convenience. That has now changed for the area. There are too many other ranges built for safety in the area for me to use this one. For example, Range USA is 12 miles away, has 10 more lanes in a building four times as large and is ultra modern with four times more items for sale and a live, on-line range officer. This older, lower tech range is simply unsafe and potentially dangerous in my opinion. As a competitive pistol shooter I no longer feel safe due to inadequate ballistic barriers that would fail to stop fired rounds from potentially injuring or killing other shooters even four lanes away, inadequate lighting, inadequate prevention of expended hot cartridges striking other shooters, inadequate ventilation with the result that the heavy gun smoke (lead particulate) makes it difficult to breath and even obscures seeing targets, an older inadequate target railing system prone to failure, a staff that fails to replace lights or expeditiously make range repairs, etc. The range is so antiquated that when things break like the wire target rail through no fault of their own, shooters are often charged unfairly when it is the poor business practice of the range itself. As a former university business professor and dean, I can attest to the complete and utter customer disregard that signifies and a clear example of the business itself. Underscoring the potential life threatening danger of this range is that there is no range officer on the line to prevent unsafe actions. And, while cameras are present, they are not regularly monitored. They seem to be there simply for 'after the fact' issues to 'protect' the business rather than having a range officer to preserve the safety of those shooting and watching. I have seen countless acts of unsafe, dangerous horseplay of those shooting. At no time has a staff member ever come onto the range to protect those watching or other shooters. As a result, all on the range are in potential danger of life threatening harm. One only has to look at the tens of thousands of rounds that mark the walls, posts, ceiling and floor to wonder "Where is the staff safety oversight?" Personally, I will never use this range again. It is simply much too unsafe and is on its face, Dangerous with a capital "D"! 👍

I really wanted to like this company. If you look at their website, they have some really cool kydex holsters for every pistol and if not they will custom make it (per their website). I was in the market for a shoulder holster and the one they offered looked EXACTLY like what I wanted. Not leather/suede. Thin webbing straps. And a kydex sheath that would fit my pistol along with my light attachment. Only Ares offered this and I was bound to buy it. It was close to $200 so I sent them an email and asked about the correct option to order. They responded quickly. I placed my order that same day. Then I anxiously waited and I knew it had a 7 week lead time. No problem. So what’s the issue? I was reviewing my order and had another question I wanted to clarify. This was about 1 week after I placed my order. I emailed Matt (the veteran owner) and expected a quick reply again. Nothing. I emailed again (2 weeks) because I didn’t want them to make my sheath incorrectly and wanted to make sure I ordered it correctly. Nothing. I emailed again (4 weeks) Nothing. I was not emailing about where my order was or when it would ship, just wanted to make sure it would be made correctly. I got my sheath in about 6 weeks. My concerns about the sheath was not an issue as it arrived exactly as I needed it. I wear the holster for 3 weeks and it breaks. I sent Matt an email and the picture of the break and guess what? That’s right! Nothing!! This seems like a legit business run out of a residence. You cant Google review them though so not sure why. They have a few YouTube people talk about how great this place is. They seem legit but their customer service and quality of work is just not worth it. There are far too many people making kydex sheaths you just don’t want to take an expensive chance with Ares. Try Ethos Survival. OMG those guys are incredible! Ares seems to be responsive if it helps you place an order. But if you have any questions after the order or after your sheath breaks, forget it. Like I said. Ethos Survival. They make custom kydex EDC sheath for pistols and tools and will combo them in any way you want. Ethos replied to one of my questions at midnight. Ares Tactical has a lot to learn about customer service.
