Awful. Total ripoff.

I bought Arch insurance through Gate 1. My trip home was delayed from Bilbao to Lisbon 6 hours which caused me to miss my connecting flight. I was rebooked for the following day. My suitcase was "missing" for 3 days. Arch said they are not responsible for return flight delays or missing suitcases. Said they were only responsible for departure flight delays. I was told I should have read the fine print. They only reimbursed me for what I spent on dinner and breakfast.

Absolutely diabolical. A close family member passed away overseas, and at the same time my older sister suffered a stroke. I provided everything I had, including MyChart records, yet they kept demanding more documentation and moving the goalposts. The representatives were rude, condescending, and completely lacking in compassion. I spent countless hours fighting over a $300 claim. Save yourself the stress and don't buy this insurance. When you actually need it, don't expect them to make the process easy.

Gate One should not sell this companies SCAM insurance. Had my chiropractor who is a physician in North Dakota send them two letters regarding my terrible back and hip pain, could hardly walk or sit, and still denied my claim. I have had this insurance on multiple trips, but never needed it. They could at least give me back my money I paid for the worthless policy.

Got into a long debate about our trip delay whether it was caused by a breakdown or subsequent damage caused by the tow truck. For some reason I received a small portion of what I claimed with no explination for the payment.

Never received any benefits - still waiting for follow up filing.

I’ve been out of work 7 weeks and haven’t heard a word from anyone on my claim.

This company somehow mistakenly approved me for my maternity leave disability claim and months after receiving my benefits, they contacted me and expected me to correct their error and give them back the money I received! I had to go through a very complicated ordeal with NJ state disability. It took approximately two years of stress and filing loads of paperwork with the state. I was just recently able to resolve the issue, unbelievable. I do not recommend this company at all. If a claimant has the option to avoid filing a claim through this company and going directly through the state, I strongly recommend they do.
