They use false advertising about how much product you get. I ordered a large bag of amphipod. They said it would have 1600 to 2200 pods per bag. When i got the pods i could clearly see that was wrong. I counted the pods. I got 611 pods in that bag. That is a big difference. I emailed the company and got a reply back that basically said tough. I would stay away from this company.

I ordered live amphipods twice. Both shipments arrived dead and smelly. The replacement they sent after the first failure also arrived dead. When I requested a refund, I was told spring temperatures make live shipping risky — but there is no such warning anywhere on their website. Not on product pages, not at checkout, not in the FAQ. I ordered in good faith. What's worse: their own shipping policy states they 'only ship when conditions are appropriate for a safe arrival.' They chose to ship twice anyway. Both times: dead on arrival. When I pointed this out, the owner Christina responded in writing that live animal shipping involves variables outside her control, that store credit is their final resolution, and that I was free to leave a public review or file a dispute if I disagreed. So here I am, doing exactly that. Two failed shipments, no refund, no accountability, and a form letter telling me to go away. Shop elsewhere.

I had a deeply disappointing experience with Aquarium Depot. Despite following all instructions and maintaining consistent communication, my order was mishandled, and my concerns were met with sarcasm and deflection. The owner cited personal hardships and natural disasters as reasons for delays, yet continued to promote her services online without addressing existing customer issues. When I attempted to place another order, it was abruptly canceled without a satisfactory explanation. This level of unprofessionalism and lack of accountability is unacceptable. I strongly advise potential customers to exercise caution and consider alternative vendors.
