Don't try cheap trial it's a scam.its impossible to cancel your subscription.avoid avoid avoid

I have only purchased Apple products for over 40 yrs. & really love the products. Until now that is. AppleTV, however, is extremely difficult to navigate. Not only do they make it ridiculously hard to find what's available to watch.....it doesn't save the show I'm watching & I have to jump through hoops AGAIN the next time I want to watch it. The size of the show on the screen that I'm watching is also a problem. It shrinks down to a very small rectangle & there's no way to get it back to normal size. I am using my laptop to watch TV. This shouldn't happen. I don't have any of these problems with other streaming services. I also don't think I should have to pay a monthly fee for this service seeing how I have all Apple products & I'm trying to watch TV on an Apple laptop. I've discontinued my subscription. Maybe when they make it more USER FRIENDLY I may pick it back up. I can not be alone in feeling this way.

Aus Interesse habe ich einen gebrauchten Apple TV gekauft und war der Meinung dass dieses Kästchen zumindest die Funktionalität von einem alten Amazon Stick bietet, doch weit gefehlt !! Es begann damit dass es in vielfachen Versuchen nicht möglich war über Itunes auf einem PC einen neuen Apple Account anzulegen. Ich habe keinerlei vernünftige Fehlermeldungen bekommen , meine Anmeldungen wurden einfach nicht akzeptiert. Ohne Apple alle meine Daten einchließlich Zahlungsdaten preiszugeben ist das Gerät fast funktionslos, mit den Daten ohne Zahlung nahezu funktionslos. Erst mit stundenlangem GEDULDIGEN Telefonsupport gelang es direkt im Internet ohne Itunes ein Konto zu eröffnen. Mit diesem Konto ist das Gerät nun fast ausschließlich für teure Bezahldienste verwendbar!1 Jede andere ursprünglich vorhandene Funktonalität wurde im Lauf der Jahre von Apple entfernt. Beispiele dafür sind die Airplay Funktion, der Youtube Klieent etc. Es ist so dass man auf diesem Modell (3.Gen) kenerlei Anwendungen nachinstallieren kann. Dass die Hardware sehr wohl in der Lage wäre die nötigen Funktionen auszuführen wurde eindrucksvoll mit der verbliebenen koreanischen TV App demonstriert mit der man einige koreanische TV Kanäle streamen kann. Es ist mir bewusst das dieses Gerät schon älter ist aber aufgrund der mir nun vorliegenden Informationen und Erfahrungen muss ich von willkürlicher Obsoleszenz ausgehen. Besonders enttäuschend ist die alleinige Fokussierung des Herstellers auf Kundengeld über teure Abonnement Dienste. Bei dieser Strategie müsste die Abspielhardware eigentlich gratis sein !!!

I’d probably have an opinion if I was able to log in and watch? Very much doubt I will get a penny back ..So £8.99 down the drain..Apple crooks strike again !

So far I've tried Slow Horses and For All Mankind. Both really good, fair enough. Shame that the so-called three month free trial Apple sent to my email was a total scam. Oh what a shock, a corporation that can't be trusted. Edit: two months in and I've cancelled my subscription. Apple TV is a platform that's more interested in selling you additional content than it is in providing content to justify the subscription fee. You wouldn't pay to enter a physical real world store so why should you pay to enter the online equivalent, which is basically what this is.

I have tried to cancel multiple times but app won't recognise me yet they manage to take my subscription every month. My emails are ignored. Very angry and frustrated about this. Don't join would be my recommendation.
