Hardworkers but poor attention to detail
I hired Any Assembly to install an IKEA kitchen. Overall, I would not hire them again for a number of reasons. For the good... I appreciate that the contractors seemed committed to the task. I had an outdated version of the kitchen so replacement parts were not available. The installers were able to come up with solutions to avoid the project not being completed. This happened on two different occasions. It cost, but it was greatly appreciated nonetheless. I also had some concerns regarding the final installation of the cabinets and called the main number to address them. The contractors came out and explained exactly why it was that things were done contrary to what I expected. For the bad... after the first day, the contractors arrived around 5-6 pm each evening. That meant they were still working well into the wee hours of the evening. For a family with young children, that was very difficult to bear. Usually, they would leave around 9-10 pm. On the last day of the project they didn't leave until 1 or so in the morning. Obviously that meant we had to stay up that late as well and had to listen to the construction in between dozing off. From my understanding, they were coming from another project. Better time management on the company's part would be appreciated. I did think it was unfair that we had to be subjected to that on account it was because they were coming from another project. They were well aware of the level of work that needed to be completed. Arriving that late and expecting to do 4-5 hours of work is crazy. Although we were given a timeline of a couple of days (a weekend), the project was extended into a week. We had an out of town trip planned that resulted in only one of us going in order to accommodate the contractors. At one point, it was requested that we either leave our door unlocked or leave the keys under the mat to allow the contractors to begin work without anyone being home. Do note, the time extension may have been due to the additional work that needed to take place i.e. finding adequate replacement parts, mold remediation, drywall replacement. However, I do believe the late arrival times and limited work time contributed to the extension as well. Considering the contractors left after midnight on the final night, I was not able to do a complete walk-through while they were there. But I was not satisfied with the poor attention to detail. 1. I have drawer pulls that were not installed straight. 2. All cabinets are supposed to have soft-close mechanisms. All do not. This was never highlighted during the project. 3. Edge of some counters were chipped due to poor handling. 4. They charge a clean-up fee as they are supposed to clean out each cabinet from any debris. Some were done, but a good number weren't. 5. Leaving personal trash. Used/empty water bottles, drink cups, etc. were left on-site. A general regard that you are in someone's home would have been appreciated.

Dear Renee , We were saddened to learn of your negative experience with our service. We really appreciate your feedback and hope you will give us the chance to make it right. Honestly, such review is unexpected for us. Our last visit to your place ended with mutual kindness and we were assured that you were satisfied with the services. Unfortunately, we have disturbed you with construction noise and we apologize for that. Regardless of service conditions, such as assembly time and duration, that were previously agreed we made it inconvenient to you. Sorry for that. We also value this opportunity to comment on your points. 1. Drawer pulls, as well as many other parts, were installed with help of measurement tools and level. Anyway, we always want to meet your requirements and ready to adjust pulls location. 2. Generally, cabinets are supplied with soft-close mechanisms (like any other hardware) exclusively by the manufacturer. Assemblers are not expected to have such mechanisms in the stock and could provide it only upon additional request. Unfortunately, it is out of our control. 3. We strive to execute each and every job with the maximum accuracy. Unlikely, sometimes chips or scratches occur. We don’t shirk from responsibility and every defect that was done due to our fault should be fixed. Usually, customer approves work is done with an appropriate signature. it is recommended to make an inspection before making such signatures. However, great variety of defects could be fixed effortlessly. 4. Sorry for misunderstanding that had occurred for the reason of a great number of cabinets from old kitchen furniture and the new one. We kept in mind that you were going to take a dumpster for the trash removal. 5. We apologize for personal trash that was probably left in your kitchen. We will necessarily instruct our staff about it. Your comments will certainly help us to improve our service. Sincerely , Any Assembly Team
