A horrendous experience that was intensified by a lack of sufficient support provided and inadequate care by most staff and clinicians at the hospital. There were no answers/responses to calls/texts for help when it was needed very shortly after discharge, and the careless disregard by staff of the patient’s obvious medical needs and seriously ill condition upon discharge was very disappointing! These shortcomings caused even greater suffering and high risk for failure.

Did this treatment about 4 years ago
Did this treatment about 4 years ago, it was a mistake for me. The following 10 days were absolutely miserable. Barely had the strength to complete full sentences for almost a week. Had to be wheel-chaired out of the hospital, could barely walk for days, forced. Felt like absolute garbage with heavy cravings for weeks.
Not saying it doesn’t work for some but it’s not magic. Your body feels the trauma of it all. What worked for me was a 30 day inpatient and a whole lot of Jesus. Almost 3 years clean as of today.

My recovery was just absolutely awful.
I would like to edit my first review. When I wrote it I wasn't myself. While it is true that my recovery has been very difficult, it is no fault of ANR. Actually the staff at ANR are very professional and caring. They come to see you and check on you in your motel or AirB&B for 3 days after your procedure and then call you various times after you get back home. I was on methadone for 10 years for pain management after having 2 back surgeries and just wanted to be free of opioids. ANR is who they say they are. They are your only answer in the USA. Leave your doubts behind and set yourself free.
Thank you for sharing your updated experience. We know this journey is not always easy, and it means a lot to hear your kind words about our team. Your decision to take this step after years of challenges is truly inspiring.
Some patients with more complex medical histories may experience greater difficulties in the first few days, and this is completely natural. At ANR, we treat not only the straightforward cases but also the most complex ones — because every person deserves the chance to live an opioid-free life.
Our mission is to provide the highest level of medical care so that patients can regain control of their lives. We are honored to have been part of your path forward and wish you continued health and strength.

Just remember if it sounds too good to…
Just remember if it sounds too good to be true it probably is. I tried to go cuz I advertise they treat fentanol addiction withdrawals and they do not they told me I had to detox myself off the fentanyl. If I could do that I wouldn't need them. So don't get your hopes up about getting help there because they seem to only want people that don't need help again if I could detox myself off the fentanyl I wouldn't need any place to go. So again don't get your hopes up if you read there website they say how they treat people that are addicted but they won't treat fentanyl addiction even though they say they do. I'm at the end of my rope trying to get off this stuff and I read there website that promises the world which being addiction free is the world to an addict. I have nowhere to go and nothing to do but just pull the plug on life because this was the last hope for someone who got addicted after breaking their back and going to pain clinics and having them get shut down so I had no choice but go to a methadone clinic but methadone doesn't work anymore and I had never even seen what they call heroin but is mostly fentanyl I believe until a year ago and that just took the pain away and it's taking my life away and I read their website and saw away to get help but they're not interested. Obviously the person that does the interview may know about addiction through reading books and going to school but you don't know anything about it until you experience it. If I a addict could just stop like they want you to do by weaning it down does not work. So like I said don't get your hopes up I reached out to them because of their websites and that was the last chance I see at being drug free and able to live life until it's my turn to leave here instead I feel like just ending it all now because I cannot get clean.
Dear Larry,
First, I want to sincerely thank you for sharing your experience. Your feedback is incredibly valuable, and I'm truly sorry that your consultation with us created disappointment with our pre-treatment plan.
I want to clarify that ANR Clinic absolutely does treat fentanyl dependency successfully - in fact, it's one of the most common dependencies we address, with thousands of success stories worldwide. The preparation phase before the actual ANR procedure is an essential part of our comprehensive approach that ensures both safety and effectiveness, especially when treating potent opioids like fentanyl.
Our primary concern is always patient safety. The ANR procedure itself is performed under sedation in an ICU setting by board-certified physicians, and we follow specific medical protocols tailored to each individual's unique circumstances. Individualize approach to each of every patient are crucial for achieving the best possible outcome once the full ANR treatment is administered.
I'm pleased that we were able to reconnect with you over the weekend and develop a customized plan for your specific situation further. Our team is fully committed to supporting you through every stage of this process, and we remain available for anything you might need along the way.
Your struggle is real, and we hear you. No one should have to feel that ending their life is the only option.
Please don't hesitate to reach out directly at (813) 750-7470 if you have any questions or need additional support as you move forward with your plan. We're here to help ensure your journey to an opioid-free life is successful.
Your recovery matters to us, and we're committed to supporting you every step of the way - from preparation through treatment and beyond.
Sincerely,
ANR Clinic

Friendly before and at check in
Friendly before and at check in. Problem is everyone is treated the same. Tried to explain underlying health condition but they assume the only problem is chemical dependency causing all the issues. After treatment forget trying to get ahold if one has any issues. If someone calls you back its the same story, give it a few more days. Its a tiny town where hospital is and only a couple choices for hotels and they know why your there for the stay! Watch your stuff! Horribly expensive bad experience!
We’re sorry to hear you felt your experience was not as attentive as you hoped. What makes ANR so effective is that we tailor every treatment to each individual’s medical history and the state of their endorphin system following opioid use. That personalized approach is the only way to achieve proper regulation and help patients live healthy, opioid-free lives.
Also, just to clarify: our patients are not staying in Arcadia by the hospital - they stay in the Lakewood Ranch area, a beautiful city with plenty to offer.
We also recognize how important communication is. Our follow-up team works around the clock with one priority - the well-being of our patients. We return calls promptly and are always working to strengthen this aspect of our service.
We appreciate you sharing your feedback and wish you and your family the very best in health.

This is the Weismann Method
This is the Weismann Method? If so, I did it in California for a large sum of money and it was the worst withdrawal nightmare of my life. It should be OUTLAWED for methadone patients. I tapered from almost 200 mg down to 40 mg in two years and was only on 20 just before I flew to California for the procedure. I woke up during the sedation period writhing in pain, having liquid diarrhea, and nearly seizing. My stomach was so sore due to trying to lift up out of my four point restraints (as I kept yanking my IV out). That was only the beginning of the year long nightmare. I wasn’t a hard core addict before or after methadone. I was put on it after I was diagnosed with extremely painful autoimmune disease and i rapidly metabolize opioids and didn’t want to have to take 20 lortab per day. My disease went into remission and the methadone was unbearable. I thought it was a miracle when I saw a documentary for this method. Ha. After the procedure I was so ill from severe withdrawals that I couldn’t fly home. Not even on the benzo they prescribed. I had to stay at Domus for another grand per night until I could fly. It was horrible. I got home and remained in withdrawals for months. I finally had to go on suboxone after all of that. Several years later I weaned off on my own, but I was so sick that I was 99 lbs it’s not meant for such a long acting opioid, especially methadone.
Dear Leslie,
It seems there’s been some confusion, as we are not associated with the Waismann Method. To clarify, ANR is a different treatment. Wishing you the best in your recovery.
Best regards,
ANR Clinic Team

After 24000 patients treated why no…
After 24000 patients treated why no outcomes data? A literature review uncovered only a single published peer reviewed paper that presented simple data on BP and heart rate for less than 100 patients undergoing therapy.. The summary is that the procedure is safe and EFFECTIVE. It is unclear how effective is defined. There is no data on recidivism rates in this population of 24,000 people. If there were really any goal of making this procedure more accessible, outcome data would be clearly essential. Also not mentioned in the published paper is the specific treatments i.e., what medicines? What doses at what times? Also, a bit peculiar is on discharge, the patient is put in a hotel or an Airbnb, where they’re followed up by individuals with no medical credentials . I’m not sure the hotel is aware that a medical treatment is being monitored at their venue, seems odd.
I hope this treatment is effective for the $20,000 it costs and for the suffers of opioid dependency. Far more reassuring than testimonials to those of us in the medical field would be to establish a track record in the literature of the actual therapy. It risks, side effects, benefits, what exactly makes up the pharmaceutical strategy (currently a black box, however claimed to be unique”do not mix this up with ANR in California “), and especially in the case of opioid dependency it’s long-term Efficacy.
I have presented these questions to their website but have received no reply.
Dear Allen,
We value your interest in our work. However, we couldn't help but notice that you posted your review just moments after sending us your questions. This timing didn't give us a reasonable opportunity to respond, which we would have gladly done. We're always eager to engage in meaningful professional dialogue.
Just like we have done for you in the past we would be happy to arrange another call with one of our team members or Dr. Waismann to address any concerns or questions you might have. Especially as you have previously stated, you’ve had personal interaction with our “success stories” patients. Our mission is to advance addiction treatment, and we firmly believe that open, informed discussions are crucial to achieving this goal.
Our clinic has had the privilege of hosting a diverse array of visitors, including medical experts and politicians from the United States, Europe, and South America. These guests have observed our procedures firsthand. In fact, we're currently collaborating with some of them to expand ANR services.
We look forward to the opportunity to share our insights and hear your perspective. Let's work together to improve patient care.

I would not recommend this treatment to…
I would not recommend this treatment to anyone. Living with someone with addiction is very hard but dealing with my husband after doing this procedures has been and is a nightmare. You do not get after care as they say. You actually can't get anyone to answer the after care number given when released. Not worth spending the $ and dealing with what I'm dealing with.
Dear Mandy,
We are truly sorry to hear about the difficult time you've had. We understand that, in some cases, supporting a loved one after overcoming opioid dependency can be challenging, and we deeply sympathize with your situation. The complete transition back to normal life can sometimes take more time.
Our follow-up coordinators are committed to providing support around the clock. While we strive to respond as quickly as possible, we sincerely apologize for any delays. We will review our records to understand what happened that day.
Thank you for sharing your concerns with us. We remain dedicated to offering the support you need.
Warm regards,
ANR Clinic Team
