Unresponsive to emails, doesn’t stand behind work or honor return policy
I spent more than $1000 on pillowcases spanning across several transactions from this site this past summer. I was initially really happy with the first “batch” and ordered more. One of the pillowcases I ordered was made of Schumacher fabric and cost $150 for a 16x16”. The seams of the pillowcase were/are badly puckered along one entire edge. I reached out to the customer service email (both of them) with a request to exchange it or return for store credit, and had to follow up MANY times over the course of a week before I finally got a response from the owner. Alyssa’s response was unapologetic and completely lacking in accountability. She attributed her unresponsiveness to having been “out of town” and stated that the puckering (which, again, only affected one of the four sides of the pillowcase) is “normal for [this] fabric” and that it would “calm down” once an insert was added. So, translation: “This fabric is difficult to work with, and I screwed up. I didn’t want to waste this expensive fabric, so I sent it to you anyway, and now I’m going to treat you like an idiot and make crap up in a sad attempt to excuse my shoddy work.” The thing is, I’m not an idiot. I’m not buying anymore pillows from you and have rescinded my recommendations to friends/family who could have given you a crapload more business than what would have been necessary to offset the $150 cost of the botched pillow you didn’t want to replace. Don’t miss the forest for the trees, Alyssa! One would think that spending ~$1000 on your products would buy them at least enough goodwill for you to honor your own stated policy, but nope 🤷♀️ so, bye!
