This retreat was great. I met lots of fun creative souls and had a wonderful time up in the mountains. Andrea has such a kind almost motherly demeanor which makes her teaching approachable no matter what level you're at. I would highly recommend this retreat to others needing to take a moment, focus in and get at the heart of what they're doing while learning new skills to develop it.

The best artistic experience of my life! If you have any doubts about going, drop them and i promise you will have no regrets. Andrea is not only the consummate professional at her craft, but truly an amazing human being. Authenticity is her hallmark. You will not be disappointed. I will be definitely return next year, if not sooner.

I thoroughly enjoyed Andrea's Songwriter to Songwriter Retreat in NY. Her vast songwriting knowledge and gentle, down-to-earth teaching style made the weekend worth every penny and absolutely worth the effort to travel across the country. The caliber and diversity of songwriters attending made the week magical. We had folks from their early 20s to late 70s, and a wide variety of musical genres. The collaborations that happened were amazing!! Andrea's co-hort, Madison (also a dang fine songwriter), kept us all organized and happy. What a great team, and a great week!

This retreat is for the beginner to advanced songwriter. You will learn "real" tools to move your songs forward in multiple ways. The class focuses on lyric writing with some emphasis on how the words would fit against many types of music which is very helpful. Andrea is wonderful and presents herself to honestly caring about your musical direction with positive constructive criticism and real world examples. Be sure to get plenty of rest, you'll need it..

The Andrea Stolpe Writer to Writer retreat in Nashville was an incredible experience. There was a great flow to the "teaching moments" and more than enough time to collaborate with other great songwriters. The flow of the teachings helped guide the songwriting process over the week. I took many techniques and tools that will help grow my songwriting skills.
