The songwriting experience you need!
I attended Andrea's songwriting retreat on the outskirts of Nashville, Tennessee August 8-12 of 2022. The location itself is gorgeous, nestled in the tree-lined hills, complete with gorgeous vistas. Each day I was happy to be there and just experience the sights and sounds of nature.I have never attended a songwriting retreat, so this was a first for me.
The environment Andrea and her team created, is a very warm, encouraging experience, and leads one to know, right from the start, that they are in a supportive environment, where their creativity can flourish. The seminars provided by Andrea (who is amazing) and fellow musician Luke Yates (also amazing) were top notch and always pertinent to the task at hand. I really enjoyed the co-writing sessions, and am sure you will too; it is so great to collaborate with kindred spirits. I'm confident that relationships fostered over the course of the retreat, will serve as a means of encouragement and inspiration for years to come. A nice surprise, was a Q & A session with one of Nashville's most talented writers, Mr. Jay Knowles. He not only answered our questions, but provided valuable insight into the industry, played one of his original songs for us, and even provided group feedback on our songs.
I came away with a lot of tools that I know will serve me well. Not the least of which, was fostering friendships with likeminded individuals who share a love for music and the creation of it, through songwriting. I highly recommend Andrea Stolpe and her songwriting retreats. I for one, will be attending again in the near future. I hope to see you there!

Not one to perform regularly, you really put yourself out there, and it made an impact on everyone there. Do you remember the cheers and applause? I do. The online retreat was a fantastic experience. The content and knowledge provided by Andrea was excellent and I learnt a great deal in attending the sessions. You also get connected to a great network of musicians that are supportive and would like to collaborate. If you are unsure about your musical journey and need some guidance, I thoroughly recommend taking this retreat, either online or in-person

A fabulous experience!
Andrea and her team (we met Madison and Luke, and guest writer Jenn Schott) have been absolutely fantastic. They are extremely knowledgeable and experienced and super helpful. They put lots of energy in offering an experience that is empowering, educational and great value all around. I couldn't recommend them enough and I am looking forward to making some great songs with some of the people I've met, using my newly acquired knowledge.

Andrea pulled me out of my years-long Creative Block!
To think, I almost didn't make Andrea Stolpe's retreat due to college class conflicts; luckily, I bit the bullet for what truly resulted in a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
I met a roomful of absurdly talented musicians and artists, got the experience to co-write original songs with them, and best of all, was challenged to dig deep, find my confidence, and reunite with a long-lost passion I haven't felt in years.
I will forever be grateful and thankful to Andrea Stolpe and Madison Young for organizing this unique safe space for artists from all walks of life to help each other unlock new levels of artistry!

Derrick, you were a light to everyone at the retreat. Creative blocks are so challenging, and yet so common, and I'm glad to have walked through that experience with you as it was a great learning journey for all of us. The confidence you found - it's never gone - only hides for periods of time. Remember that creative blocks are often an indication that we've grown. What used to satisfy us no longer does.
