I would strongly caution anyone…
I would strongly caution anyone considering doing business with AmeriLaw. I purchased an aged company from them, and the company name appears to have been entered incorrectly on the EIN documentation. Instead of LLC, the paperwork shows “LL C.” This has caused a series of problems. When I tried to open a business bank account, the application was flagged because the information did not match. The business banker was able to override the issue, but specifically pointed out the mismatch and indicated that the misspelled company name associated with the EIN was most likely the cause. The same mismatch later created additional problems when I applied for business funding. I contacted AmeriLaw expecting them to investigate and correct what appears to be an error in the paperwork they provided. Instead of taking ownership of the issue or helping resolve it, their response was essentially that there was nothing they were willing to do. At this point, I don’t know whether they are incapable of correcting their own mistake or simply unwilling to stand behind what they sell. Either way, that is extremely concerning when you’re purchasing a corporate entity and relying on the paperwork to be accurate. There are plenty of other companies offering similar services. Based on my experience, I would steer clear of AmeriLaw and use another provider.
