Alta Functional HealthReviews of altaforlife.com

Kat has helped me transform my life! I feel so much better, I crave good foods, I am more knowledgeable for my kids, I’m more active in my daily life, and I look better than I have in over 10 years! I wasn’t sure how working with Kat would go, but I knew I needed help. I am SO glad I decided to work with her. It has been life changing!

Kat has helped me understand how to eat and workout to get results. The best part is this isn't some diet fad, it's a plan and daily accountability to help you meet your weight goals. I have learned so much about food, my body, and how to workout and feel full all day. Being a middle aged woman nothing works anymore, but this does! You won't regret it.

I began my health and fitness journey with Alta ten months ago and it was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. Before I found Alta, I was trying so hard to do it on my own. As a woman in her 50s, nothing was working and it kept me on a continuous cycle of losing a few pounds and then gaining it all back making me feel like a failure. Working with Alexa, Kat, and Andrew has changed my life! I’ve not only met my goal weight, but I have changed my body composition with increased muscle tone and improved my bloodwork markers. This program is well rounded with a fitness program, nutritional education and advice, daily communication, and unending emotional support; all personalized for your needs. I have gained the confidence I have lacked for so many years. Alexa, Kat, and Andrew are truly remarkable people who genuinely care about their clients. They are now an essential part of my team as I rehab from a torn Achilles, providing me with personalized workouts, nutritional advice for healing of an injury, and endless emotional support during this long rehab. Thank you Alta for supporting me in this journey. This is the best I’ve felt in my life!

Kat, Andrew, and Alexa have made a huge difference in my life! One year ago, I was trying to lose the same 5 to 10 pounds — stuck in a cycle of short-term programs that never felt sustainable for real life. I knew what I wanted; a long-term approach to a healthy life that I could see myself doing into my 80s. I looked into other programs, followed people on social media, and tried doing some of it on my own. When I found Kat on Instagram it immediately felt different and on my initial call with Andrew I was ready to jump in, knowing I had found the program that felt like a collaboration with my goals at the center. I never expected to find the wins off the scale. I have reduced my thyroid meds by a third (working with my endocrinologist). I have increased my HDL and reduced my glucose, A1C, and triglycerides. After years of leaning on melatonin nightly, I no longer need it and I sleep great. My weight stays about 10 pounds less than I started but my body looks different, more toned and I am down 1 to 2 sizes in clothes. The biggest win has been what I have learned. I now have tools to build my menu around foods I love while keeping an eye on the protein and fiber goals that I need. There is more clarity about how my thyroid disease affects my body, my labs, and my overall sense of wellbeing. As a post-menopausal woman, there are challenges that I didn’t expect but Kat is always there cutting through the noise to help me understand my personal situation. I highly recommend Alta 360 for anyone who is looking for a team that will work with you to achieve your personal goals.

Last year I was doing all the right things. I was lifting weights, running, biking, and being active. I thought I was doing all things to be healthy and support my activities. I wasn't seeing it in my body. I felt a little off but nothing was setting off alarms. I started with Alta to learn more about how to fuel my body. After blood work and testing I started fixing my gut and learning to balance my meals. I did lose weight but the biggest change is that I can see my muscle tone now. I've reached my goal to do pullups and increased my stamina and energy. Unexpected benefits include getting off daily allergy meds and I don't have symptoms of hormonal shifts during the month. This program has boosted my confidence and I'm now comfortable with my habits and body composition.

My wife and I worked with Andrew and Kat, and we had a great experience. Andrew was easy to work with as our account manager, and Kat’s depth of knowledge in functional nutrition was impressive. Kat helped my wife make meaningful progress toward her health goals, including recognizing the importance of increasing protein intake and adjusting her approach to nutrition. We were very pleased with the results and highly recommend their services.

This program was exactly what I wish I had access to when I was diagnosed with Hashimoto’s over 14yrs ago. It is such a great complement to your medical team. Finding Kat and Andrew has definitely been a blessing. I’ve gone through my share of western and functional medical practitioners as well as naturopaths but somehow always ended up with jigsaw puzzles that I am left to sort out and then assemble. Not to mention all the supplements they bombard you with. At Alta, Kat helped me put all the pieces together. She is extremely knowledgeable about health and nutrition and how it all comes together. When she makes recommendations she always gives you the why so you are not left wondering and then having to google search answers. This is not a cookie cutter approach- it’s tailored to your specific needs. They listen to you and curate what would be best for you. Kat helped me weed through my pharmacy of supplements to just a handful that I could actually tolerate. So I went from avoiding taking them because I had such adverse reactions and a sense of overwhelm from the sheer numbers, to taking just a few with a more balanced nutrition. Your coach will hold your hand as much or as little as you need through the process. This program gave me that foundation that I was missing. I will carry the knowledge and continue the habits that I’ve gained from this program throughout my life. I genuinely wish I had found them sooner.

Kat was legitimately my last hope to lose weight and feel more like myself again. She absolutely delivered. I had not even 6 months prior hired a nutritionist to help me lose weight after having my second baby. I only ended up losing 5 lbs, was still inflamed and still struggling hormonally. As a former athlete and as someone who “knew” how to “workout” and “eat well”, I was struggling physically and emotionally. I didn’t know what was wrong with me. My girlfriend suggested I work with Kat, and I was extremely skeptical. How would she be able to help me where others had failed? Ultimately, I gave her a chance. And now I’m in awe as I think about how different Kat and her approach is. She actually did bloodwork with me, to pinpoint exactly what was going on. She had me fill out an in depth questionnaire that helped her see what was happening. She tailored my nutrition and exercise specifically to me. No one had done that before. I lost weight, I had a complete body recomposition. I feel better, I have more energy for my kids and husband. I’m not lost anymore. It was not only a total physical but emotional journey for me. And I’m trying not to sob as I express my utmost gratitude for Kat and her team. If you’re still reading this, stop and hire Kat immediately. Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk.
