After being a Yo-Yo Dieter all throughout my teenage years going through into Adulthood, having found the Allurion Balloon was something that finally was the answer to all my weight problems,that i had been suffering for so long. Yes the team of Healthy Weight Australia for me was the answer and like i said THE BEST DECISION EVER as i found them to be ever so helpful. What made the experience so great is that they all made me feel very much at ease, and didnt treat me like a number, but as a individual who all had a genuine interest in me. It has now been 6mths since i had the proceedure done, losing 15kgs i couldnt be more happier, it has changed my whole outlook on eating food now, i choose to look for the healthier and more satisfying foods that fill me up, and make me feel good about myself knowing that im looking after my body and giving it the attention it deserves to have. There are days that can be bad still, but having the knowledge and the successful tools that were giving me to use i know i can be a lot more confident with myself knowing that i wont allow those bad habits to kick in again! I found that by following the program, drinking at least 2litrs of water a day, chewing my food more slowly and taking the time to taste my food really helped me to understand my body more and recognise when i had had enough to eat. I really enjoyed just going for a 30 minute walk each day as well as i found that it got myself motivated to enjoy the rest of the day! I would have to say that for anyone out there who is wanting to lose weight, this is the most safest and reliable way of doing it, remembering though once the balloon is out you adopt everything you have learnt and make it your daily lifestyle of healthy eating here on in! Because of the way HWA treat their patients, and experiencing first hand myself the care, the followup once the proceedure is done meant a great deal to me, knowing that they were there for me 24/7 and that if ever i had any concern about the program they would be there to answer any question i wanted answered, the fact to that i feel why HWA is doing so great is that they are very confident that this program works 100% if followed correctly.

It's been 2 months since my balloon placement ended and I have to say it's really changed my life. I lost just under 16kg during the 4 months and so far I've kept it all off. Yes, it was sometimes hard as you have to get into new routines and cut out bad habits that can make you put on weight but the nutrition and exercise advice from my clinic was excellent and I found the app helped me to stay motivated. I don't think I could have lost so much weight on my own. I would say this is an excellent option for people who want to lose weight in a 'natural' way without having to resort to surgery. I know it sounds like a cliche but I really do feel like a new person.

I am on regular strong pain medication so the first few days of having this balloon were challenging because I vomited after every sip of water and my pain medication would not stay down long enough to work. After 24 hours I was admitted to hospital and given iv fluids and iv pain medication and and after 48 hours of constant vomiting this slowly began to get better. The first few weeks were hard because its a nightmare trying to live on a diet of only fluids and then soft foods however once I noticed the weight coming off this gave me the motivation to continue. After 3 weeks I was able to introduce different foods into my diet and although i could only eat small amounts I didn't feel hungry at all. All of my normal snacking habits had gone and I stopped drinking my usual 3 cans of energy drinks per day . After 5 weeks I was eating normal foods just smaller portions and my snacking had gone completely. I am now at the end of my 16 week journey and I've lost 2 stone 8lb and 2 dress sizes. I could have lost more had been able to exercise however I suffer chronic pain so unfortunately I am limited but I think that having the balloon has been the kick start that was needed and I could not have achieved that much weight loss without it.

I had my Allurion Balloon placement last week in London and I've already lost just over 6 kg. The first 2-3 days were a bit rocky and i had to lie down a lot but after that I felt back to normal just wtih the complete feeling of fullness. Normally I get peckish at work around 3-4 but with the balloon in place and a healthy lunch I don't need to eat between meals. I am looking forward to the next few months with the balloon in place.

I highly recommend the Allurion Program - one aspect that made a significant difference was the personalized approach my clinic used. They took the time to understand my specific needs and tailored meal plans and exercise recommendations to fit my lifestyle. This level of support made it so much easier for me to stay on track and remain motivated, even on the toughest days. After around the second month I not only achieved my weight loss goals but also experienced a transformation in my overall well-being. In total I lost 2.3 stone, and my family are saying I look fab.

I am currently on Week 13 of the 16 week programme. I honestly cannot recommend it enough. I’ve currently lost nearly 4 and a half stone and I never believed this was possible. For me, this isn’t a quick fix to lose weight, it completely changes your mentality. I’ve worked really hard with my dietician which has changed my thought process around nutrition. I have also been working with a PT outside the Allurion Programme. The resources have been there in order to educate and inform me of my bad habits pre-balloon. I’d tried every other possible solution of weight loss and only managed 1 and a half stone previously before I got bored. Now I am totally focussed on keeping my great habits and mindset even when the balloon deflates.

I had a great experience. The op was set up rapidly, the actual procedure was done in 25 minutes on my lunch break. I lost over 15 kg and have kept most of it off, still very happy with my result. 10/10.
