This is the third time we have stayed at Fort Marcy. Love staying there as it is quiet, easy access to downtown Santa Fe, the condos are nice and well appointed with everything we would need and the price is affordable. This time, the air conditioner and fan were so noisy, we had to turn it off. Thank goodness it was not too hot and we could open the windows. The whole Fort Marcy complex is quite dated. The grounds also needed some work.

Great staff, the condo was very clean. The hallways and elevators were horribly hot. The beds were not real comfortable, the furniture was very beat up and the gathering area needed more seating for how many people the place slept.

Generally a nice property. However, the Wi-Fi was intermittent, the entryway stairs were a little daunting. And the air conditioning system was incredibly loud… Required earplugs if you were going to leave it on at night.

The accommodations were clean and comfortable. Lighting in the main room was VERY dim. Our king size bed was made up with queen sheets which meant that all of the bedding came apart the minute we got on the bed. Staff seemed to be a problem. Check in was a nightmare. We were supposed to check in at an automated kiosk with no staff in attendance. However, the kiosk was broken. No one had checked to make sure that it was in working order before they went home for the night. So no one was there to help. The phone number beside the kiosk was useless...the person on the other end was in Utah and had no way to contact staff. There was a question about the bill, and staff could not explain it. There was no information in the room about what the amenities were and where they were located.

When I booked the room it had details the check in time starts at 2pm. we however didn't arrive til around 3: 00, the girl at the desk said we could not check in til 4pm,we had bought groceries and they really needed to be refrigerated, I didn't make a fuss bc I understand the cleaning personnel trying to get it all done by a certain time.I asked could we go ahead and get the key so we didn't have to drive there again, NO she said.SO we left to return around 3:45 and she still would not give us the key ,said it wasn't 4 pm yet.It was right on the dot 4pm by this time and I mentioned that my reservation sheet and their web site states check in begins at 2pm.The lady wanted to make a copy of my paperwork. oh they said it was printed in Jan 2021 (thats when I made the reservation) and we have changed the rules.It seems to me they would have emailed me any changes. Another difference I noticed was that a partial payment (1 night) was charged to my c/c, pretty much as soon as I booked. that was fine, however we split the payment when we arrive between the girls. This time total payment was taken from my c/c. I don't know if the management has changed or just what but these folks are not that friendly at all. Also below you will see that I asked the question IF there were tv's in each bedroom bc all our girls like a tv. Fort Marcy reply was:tvs in every bedroom. This is not a true reply, the condo we just left out of # 3 had no tv in the twin bedroom. The previous visit getting a 3 BR, t here was no tv in the upstairs queen BR. This was very disappointing and misleading. Our first visit we had trouble w/ parking, everytime we left the visitors(I guess) would get our parking spot,we had to park in the lower parking lot and walk forever up stairs to get to our apt. Thats not good at dark I might mention for senior ladies. We have stayed there 3 or 4 times like I mentioned, I seriously doubt we will be a repeat customer. Sorry for the bad review but you needed to know. THIS IS THE QUESTION I SENT PREVIOUS TO OUR GETTING THERE: On the 3 BR is there a tv in each bedroom? AND on the 2BR is there a tv in each bedroom? Everything was great before arrival. They were very gracious and supplied our accommodations with groceries from a list that we provided. I did request that firewood is delivered before our arrival but it was never delivered. We also had an ant problem in the kitchen area that we had to treat ourselves. Overall it was still an enjoyable experience. The staff was truly great and the hotel grounds were very enjoyable.

The Only negative thing I have to say is the Beds in our room were so hard we woke up to an incredibly sore lower back every morning of our stay. The unit was clean and comfortable however the bedroom and living area furniture was very old and out dated and very warn looking. The cable tv went out for about 10 hours and no cable box in the bedroom at all. Only had 4 channels 3/28/2021

The location of the hotel is excellent. But hotel itself is very outdated
