Avoid Allied Fire and Security
Over the Christmas 2016 holidays Allied Fire and Security failed to notify us for eight days of low temperature conditions at my home and office that resulted in the total loss and required replacement of our plumbing. It has been 8 months since the event and I have been in touch with the company by phone and in person and only received unfulfilled promises that they will “look into it and follow-up”. My nearly bi-weekly contacts have included several service technicians, the customer service manager, the Spokane branch manager and finally the owner. Judging from other complaints about Allied Fire and Security, both here and on other websites, as well as credible employee reviews I conclude this is a poorly run company, with a constipated culture, selling an out of date and failure prone technology. There are far better solutions, such as the one provided by Xfinity and other IP providers that provide better service at a lower cost and with higher reliability. We no longer entrust Allied with the safety and security of our home and business. I would not recommend that anyone else do either.
Response from Allied Fire & SecuritySep 5, 2017
Hello Mr Moore. Thank you for your feedback. We have been trying to work with you on your issue to come to a resolution to your situation. On January 5th, an alert was sent regarding the temp alarm. You contacted us and requested service to be scheduled on January 9th as you were not available before that time. Our technician tested the temp monitor and verified that signals were sent and the temp monitor was working correctly. You requested that the temp monitor be replaced even though the current one was working correctly based on our test. The parts were ordered and arrived shortly after that. We tried to schedule the service call 3 different times but since your home was under construction due to the repairs, we were not able to do so. You told us you would advise us when we could get it scheduled after the construction. Since we were never contacted regarding setting up the service appointment to get the temp monitor replaced, we went ahead and closed the ticket and did not charge for this service. In July, you came in to our office and spoke to our branch manager and service supervisor. You explained the situation to them and you requested that Allied Fire & Security pay your deductible. They mentioned that they needed to run it by the owner to figure out what the next steps were. It was decided that we would turn this in to our insurance company to file a claim. I wanted to apologize if this was not communicated to you in a timely manner. Insurance companies do take some time to process claims. Our insurance company has reached out to you with information on the next steps including having you send your homeowner’s claim with damage estimates, invoices and photos. They also asked you to confirm your deductible with either your policy declarations or showing where your deductible was applied as part of the cleanup or repair of your home. The insurance company is handling this from here and will take care of you once they have the information they have requested. Again I want to apologize if there was any miscommunication from our side. We want to provide the best customer service we can. Again thank you for your feedback.
