Received an unsolicited call from this group. I am on the do not call registry. I will be reporting to the FTC.

I received an automated voicemail from this company, so I called back. The representative told me the person who contacted me works in their marketing department. He explained what their service does and how they could help me get my student loans from DeVry University discharged or forgiven. Thanks to some of the reviews on this website, I was already cautious. After a few minutes on hold, the rep came back and said my loans qualified for full discharge. He told me all I needed to do was pay a service fee, which he claimed was fully refundable. When I asked, “Oh, I was hoping this was a free service,” he said that yes, I could do it myself for free, but their job is to expedite the process and make sure everything is handled correctly. He also mentioned that doing it on my own would involve a lot of paperwork. At the end of the call, I told him I needed to discuss it with my family and would reach out if I decided to move forward.

I reached out to Alliance Financial Services to inquire about getting my student loans from DeVry and Keller discharged/forgiven. Instead of receiving a helpful explanation of the process, I was met with one of the rudest associates I’ve ever spoken to. He had a dismissive, “the fee is $1,500, take it or leave it” attitude and made no effort to explain what I’d be paying for. His tone alone was enough for me to decide not to do business with this company. If this is how they treat potential clients, I can only imagine what the rest of the experience would be like.
