Making good progress
I'm just over half-way through the treatment, and so far it's going very well. It took a while to get started, as I'm in BC, and the shipments for impression kits were coming from and going back to the Toronto area. Then there was the wait for the treatment preview and then the aligners themselves, so a total of 12 weeks from signing up to receiving the aligners. Alice was very helpful in the beginning when I had a bunch of questions, and she's always prompt in replying to my e-mails. She sent me an e-mail requesting photos when I hadn't sent them due to being away camping in the summer, so I know she's keeping track of my progress. Now I just get a standard canned response each time I send the photos, but it's an acknowledgement that my e-mail has been received, and I'm okay with that. I chose the night-only option, as wearing aligners during the day isn't practical for me. There is some discomfort putting them on the first couple of nights on a new step, and taking them off again the next morning can be downright painful, but this only lasts a few days. By the end of two weeks, they pop right off with hardly any effort at all. I'm certainly noticing progress. Each time I start a new step, I can feel something different with my teeth, then it goes away as I get used to the change. My incisors were very impacted, but they're almost back to straight now. I have 6 steps left on the uppers, and 8 steps on the lowers, and I expect that by then end of that time, I will see the results I want.
