69 days, no visa, no refund avoid for time-sensitive travel
I applied for a Singapore tourist visa through Akira Tourism (Dubai) on 18th July, submitting all required documents and paying AED 717. At the time of booking, I was told verbally that processing would take a maximum of 10 days, and their team confirmed in writing: "Process Duration: After the submission process can take 1 to 2 weeks." Their own website separately states Singapore visa processing takes 3-5 working days. It has now been over two months (69 days) since I submitted everything. I have not received a visa, a rejection, or any clear explanation only repeated messages saying the application is "under process." When I asked for a verifiable application reference number to check status independently, I was not given one. Because I had planned travel and taken approved leave from my employer based on their stated timeline, the extended delay meant flight and hotel prices for my travel dates rose significantly, and I was ultimately unable to travel as planned. I sent a formal written refund request over a month ago. Despite their website advertising a "no questions asked" refund guarantee, I have not received a refund or any meaningful resolution. I've since filed a formal complaint with Dubai Economy Consumer Protection regarding this matter. If you're considering using this agency for any visa application where timing matters, I'd strongly recommend confirming processing times independently and getting firm commitments in writing before paying.
