AIFS AbroadReviews of aifsabroad.com

AIFS allowed me to have an experience of a lifetime. I've always wanted to study abroad, but was never really sure what to expect. AIFS made this journey incredibly easy for me, and I had such a great time during my three weeks in London. I highly recommend this program to anyone interested in studying abroad!!

The best experience ever with the absolute BEST onsite staff! Our teacher for Italian Food and Culture was amazing and would buy us snacks at all the local markets. AIFS provides so many excursions and daily trips and activities for little to no charge that made the experience that much more memorable. Could not recommend enough!!

I do not recommend AIFS. Pick another program like CIEE.

My experience while abroad was fantastic! I loved my time in Spain. The people that worked at AIFS were great and always willing to help. The workers really cared about us and would do anything they could to help us succeed. They always had activities for us to do every week and they did a great job of exposing us to the culture of the city. I would 100% recommend AIFS to anyone that is looking to study abroad.

Studying abroad with the AIFS program was one of the most life changing experiences I have ever done. I studied in Athens, Greece at the American College of Athens. I highly recommend anyone wishing to study abroad to apply through the AIFS program. It was very organized and gave me many opportunities to explore Athens, being that I have never been there before. They helped me every step of the way between my pre and post departure. One of the best things AIFS provided for me was booking my flights which also included easy transportation upon my arrival which was helpful being that I have never traveled to Europe before. If I have another opportunity to study abroad, I will definitely plan it through AIFS again.

I thought I would need more structure in studying abroad, but I don't think the AIFS program provided as much as you paid for. If I were to replicate the same experience, I would have looked into other options.

Teachers and program coordinator were amazing and very helpful. However, most of the staff when I arrived were rude, as were the high school students from other countries in the same school. There should be more communication with students about the program. Should have known that this trip was not exclusively for college students since I applied through my college. I was also very disappointed with the quality and lack of selection of the food. It would have also been nice to mention that dinner would not be included, especially since none of the rooms have any sort of fride or microwave. Also was very upset at the fact that the school had cold fresh water that we were not allowed to get unless the caferteria was open, and their hours were very strange.

Study abroad was one of the most memorable times of my life. I met some of my closest friends that I still stay in contact with and was able to learn so much about Spain and myself while I was there. The study abroad directors were so friendly and helpful and I became close with them throughout my time in Granada. I would go back in a heartbeat and highly encourage anyone who's thinking about studying abroad to go for it!! You will make memories that last a lifetime.
