I have only earned $10 from Afterquery and I was onboarded back in April this year. I have applied for almost ten expert roles but I never get a response also the tasks take months to get reviewed and processed for payments. I guess it's because I'm from Africa that's why I can't get expert roles but when it comes to reviewing tasks I think I deserve to be compensated for the work I have done and on time. AfterQuery team you could do better.

Afterquery keeps getting better, but closes projects abruptly without giving contributors any formal notice, non therless i love them and will keep working with them and will always recommend to someone dear to me.

I think AfterQuery has A potential to be better just there tasks availability and their review feedback on done tasks is a bit off but its a good site and I would love to continue working with them.

They do pay and now their payment structured is more sound. But everytime there is an opportunity there are asking like top 100 schools which is totally disappointing. AdditionAlly, the generalist projects are worst, no channels, no rejection reasons and almost 99% submission r rejected. The only good projects are the ones which have slack/AQ chat channels. After working on AQ just pray to GOD to get ur work accepted otherwise it is a mess. The assessments results should be visible but they do not tell results. Not a very good platform but since it is thriving so best of luck

I have been on afterquery but my experience is not that good.If afterquery take serious action on the issues I mention below it will be a great platform. Issues: 1.long time reviewing the applications/ assessment 2.takes too long to review work done and therefore late pays are experienced. 3. Poor communication with the taskers/ community. 4. few projects that run only for few hours then paused for so long with no other projects updating. Solution: 1.Displaying the applications/assessment stages and status 2.giving the expected time to review work done and paying out soon as they get reviewed maybe on Fridays as they say. 3. Clear communication with the community regarding the projects, technical issues , updates and everything else necessary to share. 4.Introducing more projects on the platform frequently and if possible the long-term projects. Above are the issues and solution I feel they should take serious action to.

I lasted a day with this company. I applied through LinkedIn as a doctoral researcher, attracted by the advertised pay rate of $100 to $180 per hour. However, what I earned over the course of my day with this company was $120 total, barely above the minimum wage for my state – hence my exit. The reasons for this were: undisclosed task caps that were never in the job description; an automated checker that blocked the most sophisticated prompts (precisely the work PhD researchers would naturally produce); domain closures without notice; compensation tied to work accepted rather than work actually done; vague promises of scaling that never materialised. The effect of all this was wage suppression, and a feeling that high-quality data from PhD-level contributors had been extracted without fair recompense. For these reasons I'd urge researchers to be cautious about onboarding with this company, or to give the company a miss entirely.
