Affordable Screen CompanyReviews of affordablewindowscreens.com

Screens arrived promptly and well packaged. Materials were exactly as specified. Assembly was good but not excellent -- some screens needed minor trimming, some corners were not fully recessed, but these were minor issues. Screens were close to specified size, but in some cases were 1/32" oversize in width. This lead to them requiring adjustment prior to installation. I would recommend specifying widths as 1/32-3/64" narrower than measured frame widths to accommodate variations in window sizes and paint buildup, especially in older windows.

I was happy with the quality and material cost of the parts I purchased to assemble a replacement screen window. The shipping cost to order a pre-assembled window would have been prohibitive, so I ordered the parts and built up the window myself. The shipping cost even for the parts was pretty high, making it one of the contributors to the 4-star rating instead of 5 stars. The other factor was that I wanted butterfly latches to match my existing screen windows, but they would not make the cuts for me when ordering frame parts. Seems like it would have been easy enough to specify since exact location was not critical. Parts info and specs for the frames and corners were sufficient and accurate to order just what I needed.

The online descriptions for the custom-made screen door could have been more clear. The quality of the framing material is sturdy, but a little scuffed (might be because of the metal). Overall, great value and happy we found this option.
