We are a landlord in San Antonio TX. accepting sec. 8 and are having a very difficult time getting much help from Affordable Housing or finding tenants. Tenants don't seem to want to fill out or send us a free Affordable Housing application. We have Free applications online. It has been our experience that Affordable housing is completely disconnected from Sec.8 and Sec. 8 wants nothing to do with A.H.com. We have clean well maintained apartments and have sent 1000s of emails through A.H.com but the system seems dysfunctional. Conflicting information or a complete lack of any useful help or information. Can anyone help or speak of a better method? These ppl will try to scam you. How does section 8 give you 120 days to find a place when most of these landlords don’t want the voucher, and most of them want you to pay a application fee through Zelle and cash app b4 you see the apartment. Like what? I’m done with this voucher bs. Maybe it wasn’t meant to be for me to have

rude unsympathetic people. I was inquiring about a house that was way below our budget and in a really rough part of town, but since we are in a pinch and a hurry to move, we were lowering our standards. but the people from this organization are rude, uncaring and unprofessional

I am a tenant with a housing voucher looking for a two bedroom apt and whenever I find an apt on affordable housing and its nothing but scammers trying to get money from me without showing me the apt and the wants me to do a transaction through cashapp, zelle or venmo. Is their any one else having this issue. Where are the real lanlords. Please stand up!

It is concerning what this company is doing and the fact there are no more websites offering these services. This company manipulates the truth on free versions. After publishing a property, you receive an email with a message from supposedly a potential tenant that says "I am interested" (funny that ALL potential tenants say the same. The owner or employee is not even original. Always uses same sentence) then you reply... "Please call me at a XXX-XXX-XXXX" and obviously never receive a call. The only time I received a call from this supposedly potential tenant I requested a copy of affordability page to confirm was not fraud and the communication died right there. This company uses this tactic to force you pay to get tenant phone number and try to establish a connection. This has happened to 4 listings I have had over time with them.

They charge landlord to advertise for housing $80/month! But their website has old and outdated information and I cannot even call renters, must email or text it not knowing who gets the information. Now I cannot even delete my information from their website. Complete Rip Offs!

The entire SYSTEM IS F&+KED! I'M HOMELESS and the very people that are assigned and PAID WELL to help fill apps & all that are worthless. Mine is so prejudice I'm actually intimidated from communicating with her. They tell you it could take 4 weeks to get approved and housed then I find out I could be homeless waiting on them over 2 years. The sick part is that it appears the state makes good money on keeping us homeless. Think about it. Every time you use your HOMELESS CARD (CLARITY) they track you, so that way when they put in their request for finances from the fed. gov.(Budget) , they can keep counting you as a HOMELESS PERSON to be able to request more federal aid. Then you have people like this , that make money claiming to help the poor. They take their SSI/DISABILITY $$ promising them housing (easy path) knowing all they really do is gather all the free available to the public documents and provide them in one location and charging you yet it's still the same messed up system, your still waiting on the same lists to get housed. Then the immigrant situation. I paid taxes all my life, I didn't create nor ask for the situation that made me homeless. Yet, they come in from all over the world and they get hotel rooms, shelters, FAST TRACK HOUSING, you name it. ME, I GET TO SLEEP ON THE FLOOR ON A PIECE OF ALUMINUM FOIL. I'M not ungrateful for that, I'm pissed that they didn't pay a dime into the social safety net, and they get a bed, hit showers, clothes, everything. I can't even get a decent Dr. to call me back. Once you let on your homeless and your a born AMERICAN, THEY TREAT YOU LIKE YOU HAVE THE PLAGUE. THE ENTIRE SYSTEM IN MA needs to be revamped YESTERDAY.I pray what happened to make me ,a business owner of 32 years, become homeless because THIS IS MY HELL!
