Adopt a pet they’re in the same company of craigslist they’ll steal your money. They took $75 of mine and won’t even answer a simple reply. They hide just like craigslist no phone number. No one‘s gonna return your message. They’re gonna take your money and you can’t even edit your own damn post. Look at them. Look at their reviews. They’re going to the one bracket craigslist zero bracket people need to think twice before they think this is a credible website. It’s really sad that a lot of shelters are recommended down but I’m gonna write them and I’m gonna show what they do absolutely useless. Even when I’m riding the set the bottom it’s got mentioned something about application customer service I mean seriously they took my money and I couldn’t even finish my ad. I couldn’t even put the rehoming fee on there. I had to put $.12 I wrote them last week. I still haven’t heard from him now that’s terrific customer service trying to delete the doggone thing and I can’t even find it so I’m just assuming I stole my money. They certainly didn’t help me rehome my dog. I got three replies and every one of them I had to reach out because I required an experience Belgium handler and I got first dog owners now that cost me $75 but I’m reporting them to my credit card. I’ll get my money by you guys need to think before you use them cause they’ll sucker you in because I got a lot of shelters that think they’re the answer and hell they are for a scammer perfect home just like craigslist.

this company allows the owners of animals to lie without confirming details.we got a dog was told it was cat friendly it is not we are being ghosted by the owner and adoptapet, so sadly we were left with no choice but to put him in a shelter

I submitted an application for a pet on their site. The owner of the pet contacted me within a couple of days and wanted to do a meet up. I replied to his email asking for more details on the pet. He never responded. I contacted Adopt a Pet via the email they provide on their site asking if they could confirm the owner and pet were legitimate. They didn't reply either. I understand they're just a go-between, but they should vet and confirm who posts on their site to protect those wanting to adopt. They should also reply to inquiries!

This website steals photos of pets online and posts them for adoption or rehoming and once they have all your info suddenly the pet you chose is no longer available and youre left with nothing but nonstop messages and spam emails. They gave me the runaround for 3 weeks telling me the cat was in portland then Hillsborough then sherwood...he was even on lost pet sites and local facebook group posts. They'd reply to my emails with different fee amounts and locations... BEWARE!

We listed a senior shitzu and explained we could no longer take care of him due to health issues. Had 2 people respond that they wanted to adopt him. I responded quickly to both within a couple of hours. I called , sent e mails texts. Finally one apologized after 5 days saying she could not adopt him. Thats it. The other sent the adoption papers over, called her ,emailed her, finally texted her next day. Finally she answered found another dog. Then why are you wasting my time.24 hours had not even past. Very frustrating .

These people do not have the dogs best interest at heart because if they did, they wouldn’t be adopting pets out for $1000 as a rescue 650 the point about rescue is to save an animals life and not put a price tag on it. That’s so un affordable for somebody and if somebody had that kind of money they could go to a breeder and get a brand new puppy I’ve come across so many scams. I also found out that even though it’s a nonprofit, I don’t know if people know this, but the people that are running adopt a pet the Mars group the CEO of the company makes hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of thousands of dollars and I’ve come across so many scams and it breaks my heart cause there’s so many dogs out there that need loving homes. It’s like for somebody that wants to adopt a child that can bear one of their own because adopted animals and adopted children are so very wanted and me. I lost my dog of almost 11 years to stomach cancer and I want so much to make a difference and adopt a dog, but I cannot afford their fees and these people do not care and mind you where I live. We have clinics to get shots at inexpensive cost. There’s veterinarians that do low-cost Spayed and neutering “I believe believe in I’m so disappointed just like the medical system just like our judicial system and now be adoption of pets is just another form of injustice with broken links.
