Proper Teaching
Great drilling of content and teaching of material. Wish I had more practice with question strategy and interpretation, but have seen myself improve remarkably since starting tutoring here.

My tutor does a great job explaining things I don’t understand and is always encouraging to me!

I found this tutoring company at a low time in my studies and MD career. Right away they were super helpful and genuine. I reached out to a different testing company and they just seemed a little more superficial than ACE. With the help of Mohit, Ace set me up with a tutor right away and gave me a rundown of how their platform works and what my schedules would look like. My tutor Kelvin was super helpful! He stressed the importance of basically recentering yourself in gratitude and peace in order to be successful with tackling challenges like the step exam. He was super genuine, personable, always quick to respond and gave advice when needed ! - Only reason I wouldnt give 5 stars is because towards the end of my studying I did have to make some adjustments and do what would make me most comfortable to sit for the exam and pass. During my time using ace I would passed and then failed practice exams so they didnt feel comfortable with me sitting unless I passed 2 back to back ( super understandable). But to me that goes to show that they work very hard to ensure that you are comfortably passing, so you do pass! -Also I used this company from 7/18-11/18 ish. Sat for exam 12/9 Overall I highly highly recommend !

I matched in IM, My first choice was neurology. But I am grateful I matched. I tried many different residency prep companies while trying to match in the past 3 cycles. Some were very famous companies. I would say quality of the service is not different in terms of editing , but the content was more personalized and I got realistic advice. I got feedback throughout the cycle, but sometimes the reply was not so smooth, because you have to communicate through their main email . It would be nice if I know who in charge of my case. Interview prep with Mohit was very very helpful. I was worried i might not get enough practice time with 1or 2 sessions. Its focused on interview questions and answers, they dont teach you how to speak but what to say. I would say if ur an IMG and need interview practice then you should ask in advance whether they can help with interview skills. I personally didnt need that kind of help and was very satisfied with their help.

Preparing for STEP 1, it was hard to make my own schedule. Then I heard about Ace Med Boards tutoring from my sister. So I decided to give it a try. I received my very first schedule which was rigorous, structured and detailed. Following the schedule, I sat down for long hours each day. This made sitting down for 8 hours during STEP 1 a breeze. I was barely tired because I was already trained to sit for longer hours. My Tutor was Kelvin. He was flexible with meetings. One thing I liked about him was that, he was patient. He doesn't make you feel bad for not answering a question correctly. Rather he guides you through the process of how to answer the questions.

Kelvin was an awesome tutor to work with for my Step 1 exam prep! He provided a lot of moral support both in and out of our tutoring sessions and he helped me get into a very solid rhythm with practice questions. By exam day, I felt like I was on autopilot, which took away a lot of the doubt/worry that I usually get when taking tests. I also liked the overall tutoring model that AMB uses and the resources they suggest (UFAPS style). The schedules they create for students are very efficient and thorough. I will say, however, that I experienced laggy communication with the advisors as I got closer to my exam date, which was stressful. They also didn't schedule any rest days throughout my dedicated period (partly because I had a short time frame), so I used my discretion in taking time off as needed and I didn't always stick to their schedule down to the minute. Overall, it is a rigorous program, but I would recommend working with AMB and especially with Kelvin!

Iam really having fun with this program. Haven't taken an nbme yet but my experience with Gleb has been the best so far. He really gave me reason to keep pushing. He'll explain everything in great detail and make sure I understood. I can feel a much easier and better approach of studying which is what I've always desired. Would definitely reccomend Ace Med Boards

I was honestly in such a dire situation a week before taking Step. I was barely passing my exams and I was really, really burned out from studying. I had absolutely no idea what I was doing and didn’t know how to change that. I ended up having to delay step and I got a tutor through this company, and I feel like it turned my dedicated around. I really needed someone to guide me in the right direction towards what I needed to be studying and to keep me accountable. Plus, my tutor had faith in me and gave me a lot of positive encouragement which I desperately needed after months of beating myself up for my bad scores. I would recommend this for anyone who keeps failing/barely passing their practice exams and feels like no matter how much they study, it just isn’t enough.
