We were connected with an apprentice who we interviewed and who was unsatisfactory. We requested a refund, which was denied. Acadium took the position that because they had introduced us to one person, their side of the agreement had been fulfilled. We've had to file a dispute with our credit card company.

Horrible experience!! Needed support in November 2022 and was matched right away with someone and looked promising. This person was enthusiastic and helpful until we asked for SEO work to be done. Then they stopped responding to our messages and I cancelled her apprenticeship and was matched with another sub par candidate that worked 2 jobs and didn’t have time to support us. Now 2 months later and we have still yet been matched, they won’t refund me my money back and It’s been 2 weeks and no new candidate. This is not a good business model and the vetting process is a joke. 15 min interview is not enough to make sure these folks are able to commit to an apprenticeship. Anyway, avoid the stress and just pay for the support or go directly to Universities or Colleges and get marketing interns.

IITS A SCAM!! I don’t usually write bad reviews but I felt compelled to share my experience to save others from the frustration I’ve felt using Arcadium. Please don’t use this company. It’s is a scam and a complete waste of time and resources, especially if you are a small team. So far we have paid for 6 months of work and so far NOT ONE POST HAS BEEN MADE We had a truly annoying and frustrating first 3 months from July - oct. We were introduced to an intern who seemed like a good fit. However it took ages for her to reply to our messages, no contract was signed with her, and in the end she took a full time job with a company without doing ANY work for us. Unfortunately Arcadium took another 3 months subscription automatically with NO AUTHORITY AND NO FOLLOW UP TO SEE IF WE WERE HAPPY WITH THE SERVICE forcing us to stay with the company as we had spent our comms budget. We were given another intern in November and THIS INTERN IS AGAIN BELOW PAR. Despite meeting with her once a week and spending considerable time and energy on her we STILL HAVE HAD NOT ONE SM POST MADE that has been good enough to post. We are a small not for profit doing our best in a very challenging climate and Arcadium is not providing any kind of decent service. They have refused to give us a refund and instead suggested we find yet another person which means more time and energy. Save yourself the money and find a decent digital marketer. In this company they just take your money with no shame.

SCAM!! Do not give this company your money. Once you are "matched" with an apprentice, you are no longer able to get a refund. The apprentice does not have to do any work or even communicate with you. I have been given the runaround for 4 MONTHS. I have been rematched multiple times, and no one has shown up to meetings or even logged in to the email and asana board I provided. All of their customer service reps are overseas, so good luck talking to someone. The CEO, Moe, has come up with a brilliant scam to get people's money, not to mention time. I will be reporting them to the BBB in Canada, and the US.

Edit: The reply to my review represents the shady nature of the company. They do not address any of the legal ramifications of their platform while toting a program that has never proven effective, misdirecting away from the fact that they don’t compensate the people on the platform in any way beyond smoke and mirrors. After reading more reviews of this app, I can see that they charge businesses even more than I originally realized and often change their programs, as well as provide shoddy customer service when they mess up. So which is it, Acadium? Interns or apprentices? Apprentices should be paid and interns should be getting more value than the mentor. Federal Regulations on Working Hours “Apprentices must receive at least the minimum wage specified by the Fair Labor Standards Act for hours they spend working” Only during training periods are employers in the US permitted to pay less than minimum wage to apprentices. This is the difference between most internships and an internship. Businesses on this app are most often based in the US or places with similar laws, meaning they are taking advantage of people that often already have experience and an education while opening themselves up to lawsuits from apprentices that catch wind of it. I’ve been a part of this app for at least a year and a half. They used to make it so that apprenticeships on their site had the options to be paid (though heavily discouraged and every business rejected you). They recently changed this and force you to re-apply as an apprentice and make you agree to working unpaid if you want to use their app to connect with businesses. There are even ‘micro tasks’ apprentices can do to get noticed doing free labor for very specific work. Everyone deserves to be paid, even if it is low, for work that they do. I don’t care if people are willing to work for free, it’s they still deserve to be paid. And businesses HUNDREDS on this app. They’re already paying, and this app is for profit, benefiting from the free labor of people in desperate situations. And this isn’t even an internship - directly violating the law and encouraging businesses to do so is not a good look. Maybe the app is based overseas, maybe they’re free from liability. But the businesses and those behind them are not.

It's really the worst website that they will make you wait for so long and give you many promises then don't give you anything even teach you how to be good in its field, they will always ask you just to give them 5 stars to accept you then don't give you any chance at all. I don't recommend it at all.

This company is a disaster and I would avoid at all cost. Their practices are highly deceptive. By accident (which is easy to do) I signed up for 2 apprentices and now they will not give me a refund for one of the two apprenticeships even though I didn't even match a second apprentice to begin with. While interviewing for apprentices it is clear that they have been mislead and I have a lot of sympathy for them. I feel like this company is truly doing them a disservice, let alone me a small business owner. For companies looking to invest I would look elsewhere for apprentices. These are people not getting paid and for putting your effort into bettering them that should be your payment to them; you should not have to go through what this company makes you endure.

As an Acadium Legacy member, I used to enjoy working with apprentices where I was able to help them grow, while many of them were helpful in offering good value to growing my business. However, Acadium's decline started to come just after I was sold a lifetime plan about 1.5 years ago, and now I am shut out of the platform unless I pay more for a vetted service. The last few apprentices I worked with were very hard to work with, and cancelled early or just were not responsive. Meanwhile, they are selling the same monthly plans that were offered 6 months ago and well before they announced they will no longer honor the lifetime plans. Run fast from this business, as they are headed toward going out of business.
