THEY DAMAGED ALMOST EVERYTHING THEY MOVED. THE TRUCK HAD NO PROFESSIONAL ADVERTIZING ON IT AND ONLY A SIDE (RV) LOOKING DOOR OPENED, NOT THE BIG DOOR IN THE BACK. THE 4 GUYS SHOVED MY STUFF THROUGH THE TINY DOOR AND WAS STACKING THINGS ON TOP OF ONE ANOTHER. EVEN AN IDIOT KNOWS THAT YOU CAN'T LAY A STAND-UP FREEZER ON ITS FRONT! TWO OF THEM SMELLED LIKE WEED (HOW PROFESSIONAL)! ONE HAD AN ANKLE MONITOR (SCARY)! THERE WAS ONE THAT WAS PRFESSIONAL AND CARED FOR OUR BELONGINGS AND THAT WAS ELIJAH!
THEY DROVE RECKLESS, 55MPH IN A 25MPH ZONE AND RAN STOP SIGNS! NEVER AGAIN WILL I HAVE OR RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
They give you a( liability form) that you have to print and fill out, but no address to send it to. THEY'RE NOT INSURED!!!!!!!!!!!!

HORRIBLE SHADY COMPANY!!!
HORRIBLE SHADY COMPANY!!!! They lied about arrival time! They ARRIVEDDDDD 12 hours later!!!!! We missed our flights!!! The driver and ANNE at the office ignore several of my calls!! Extremely disorganized!! I’ve never in my life experienced movers like this! They tripled the price of the quote when they arrived!! Told them to leave my stuff!! This is Mrs. McGlown if you need to verify my review check Google! I also made a video about this experience online with posted receipts and timestamps!

This was the worst business experience…
This was the worst business experience I have ever had. Was completely extorted for more money when the movers arrived to load. I felt intimidated, threatened and unsafe by the mover. He explained that he was mentally ill and could 'explode at any minute'. I had to pay an extra $500 on the spot for them to load. They took 2x as long to load then I was told they would. I nearly missed my flight.
At drop off, I was told that I had an unpaid bill by the driver and if it wasn't resolved within 20 minutes, he would leave WITH my furniture. He eventually called the office and was told that I was, in fact, all paid.
TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE

Stay away from this company
After truck was loaded (several hours later than promised) they more than doubled the bill from $5300 to more than $11,000. Said it was based on volume. They emptied almost all furniture and added boxes to increase volume. My 85" TV was damaged beyond repair, A file cabinet was destroyed, several lamps and assorted crystal and glassware was improperly packed and shattered. An expensive organ required significant repairs including replacement of keys that were broken and replacement of a cable to the pedals that had been cut.

The absolute worst
The absolute worst! They quoted one price and then tripled the price upon arrival. Golf clubs and a safe were stolen, multiple items were destroyed including brass lamps, a box of crystal. They then contacted me to try to get me to remove the negative review and offered to send me his own golf clubs to male this go away. Avoid this place! Total rip off and scammers!

WORST MOVING COMPANY EVER
🚛 Formal Complaint: A1A Movers (Miami, FL & TX)
Unprofessional Conduct | Missed Contractual Deadlines | Poor Communication | Mishandled Delivery
Customer Experience Timeline — August 30 to September 27, 2025
📅 August 30, 2025 — Pick-Up Day
A1A Movers (Andre + one unnamed mover) picked up items from my storage unit #3117 in Florida.
Storage was 5x8, no furniture, only boxes and loose items.
Andre claimed I needed 2 additional boxes ($24 each) — I complied.
After pickup, Andre called and asked for a tip — inappropriate behavior.
I sent $77 via Cash App as a tip.
Andre asked when the latest acceptable delivery date would be — I said “no later than Sept 12, 2025.”
Andre stated my items could be delivered in as little as 4 days, but definitely by Sept 12th.
📞 September 11–12, 2025 — No Delivery, No Clear Answers
I contacted Reggie, who passed me to Adam.
Adam admitted he couldn’t locate my property in the system — only Steve had access to logistics.
Adam never followed up after promising to call back.
On September 12, Adam finally stated:
My items were still in Miami storage.
Provided lot/storage numbers for verification.
Claimed truck/driver issues delayed delivery.
I informed him I’d be unavailable from Sept 13–23 due to work.
Adam said they would coordinate delivery after my return.
📅 September 20, 2025 — CONTRACT DEADLINE MISSED
Per the signed contract, delivery is guaranteed within 21 days.
21 days from pickup = September 20, 2025.
No delivery was made. Contract was breached.
📞 September 23–24, 2025 — Finally Spoke with Steve
Upon returning from travel, I contacted A1A again.
Adam still said “things were in limbo.”
On Sept 24, I finally spoke with Steve (Manager/Owner):
He had been gone for nearly a month due to a family emergency.
While away, no one at A1A could manage the logistics system.
Claimed the company had truck issues (breakdowns, no drivers).
I told Steve this was unacceptable — no business should stop functioning because one person is unavailable.
Yet, A1A was still taking deposits from new customers during this time.
📅 September 25–27, 2025 — Last-Minute Delivery Chaos
On Sept 25, I was told my items were finally en route via American Knights Moving & Storage.
Delivery was scheduled for Saturday, Sept 27, 2025.
I was promised:
A 3–4 day notice once the truck was en route.
A 24-hour confirmation call from the carrier.
Only Mati (driver from American Knights) called me as required — professional and on time.
However, this last-minute delivery forced me to cancel my prepaid weekend plans at Canyon Lake.
I asked Mati if the delivery could be moved to the following week — he said that was okay.
Then Steve from A1A called me back, accusing me of not having money to pay — a lie.
I had already paid and simply asked for rescheduling due to prior plans.
🛻 Delivery Day Issues — Handled by American Knights
When Mati attempted delivery:
The truck was too large for the delivery location.
I tried contacting A1A Movers, and so did American Knights — no one answered.
American Knights Movers took action:
Their dispatch team rented a smaller truck.
Brought in another driver to complete the delivery.
Initially said I would need to pay — but the company decided to cover the cost themselves.
American Knights Movers went above and beyond to get the job done right.
🧾 Company Performance Breakdown:
❌ A1A Movers (FL/TX) — DO NOT USE
Name Role Review
Reggie Sales Rep Did his job — got the sale and deposit.
Adam Logistics Completely incompetent, could not access or locate customer data.
Andre Driver/Packer Unprofessional — requested a tip and accepted a TV I couldn’t ship.
+1 Mover Driver Assistant Silent, did his job — no issues.
Steve Manager/Owner Disconnected, dismissive, no systems in place to run the business in his absence. No weekend dispatch, no customer care.
✅ American Knights Moving & Storage — HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
Name Role Review
Mati Truck Driver Extremely professional, courteous, and respectful of my time and concerns.
Dispatch Operations Team Took executive action to solve problems that weren’t theirs — rented a truck, assigned a second driver, absorbed extra costs to ensure delivery happened.
🚨 Final Warning to Others:
Whatever you do, DO NOT use A1A Movers. Unreliable, unprofessional, and unprepared. They left my property in limbo, missed their contractual delivery deadline, and lacked basic communication.
Instead, choose American Knights Moving & Storage. They saved the day, completed the job under pressure, and truly care about customer satisfaction. I will be using them for future moves — including military PCS transitions.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS
If I could give 0 stars I would. It all starts out great with Reggie on the phone to make the sale. Then it goes sideways, Steve calls asking to come two days early because someone canceled (I wish I would have too). I claimed I wasn’t all packed he asks if I needed help, he didn’t want his driver sitting for two days. I said that is a big ask but okay, they are supposed to show up with 3 people, they show up with a driver and someone he hired on a gig app. I have a majority of my things packed in small container and what I gave Reggie dimensions of and he noted as small containers the driver argues they are medium and changes the inventory. He also tells the help to box items I do not have in boxes, he did not confirm with me or anything. This is where it starts to get swirly. After the one guy boxes and loads the truck up by himself the driver kristapos or something of the sort comes back with his laptop and tells me based on the inventory I have taken up 250 more cubic ft than originally quoted. I argued with how would he know he didn’t help load the truck and I argued how could it have been loaded efficiently by one person. I was charged more than double my quote which included over $700 in boxes and tape which I never agreed to or was told the price until I was brought the final bill of lading. Wait here’s the best part when he comes back in after I argued an hour later after he went back to his truck magically there’s and additional 150 more cubic feet than what he came back with an hour before mind you the truck was loaded already. Based on the math he claims he measured and that the ceiling was 8 ft when we measured it prior and only being 7.5. Steve got on the phone and took 25% off of the boxes which had I had my originally scheduled pick up or even the call to confirm my inventory which I never got I would have been able to handle for $100 but I was charged $100 in tape alone like come on do they know how much tape I can get for $100? You did offer to help right Steve? These guys are thieves. Not only that I look in the back of the truck before he leaves and my tv which is a $3000 tv that they made a makeshift box for is standing on its side and strapped in against the wall. What kind of moving company is this? Not professional at all AVOID at all costs. I’ve had to get a hotel room for two extra days to help them and their driver and the repayment is a scam. My move went from $1950 to $4500 without any conversation in between. One guy loading the truck which I’m sure I’d be at or less than the drivers program of 750 cubic ft if he had help vs the drivers changed amount to 896 cubic ft because he wanted to make more money for his line haul. If the truck was loaded properly he shouldn’t have been able to measure through all my belongings to tell me I am using more space than the program said I am. I am utterly disgusted, Steve was supposed to call me back the following day with a discount, no call, I called he said by tomorrow. Tomorrow has came and gone. I am so upset with this situation which my hands were tied. What am I supposed to do when the truck was loaded and the help had left because he was getting paid hourly by the driver and magically my move cost more than double in a blink of an eye. Steve claimed it’s a family business, yeah some family. I’m sick to my stomach and if you’re reading this avoid them so you don’t have to be. This is all before my stuff is even delivered, I’ll have to report back after that. I can only imagine how wonderful that will be. It didn’t even cost me this much to move from ny to tx with two additional sofas I threw out. 🤮

Typical bait and switch moving company
Typical bait and switch moving company. They quote us a great deal after explicitly explaining the contents we were moving . The rate even gave us a discount since my husband is a veteran. The morning they get to the house to load up, the guy in charge gave a revised invoice that was 66% higher than what we were originally quoted. Then told my husband the balance had to be paid in cash. I walked out to the moving guy (who hibernated in the cab the whole time while the 3 movers did all the work) I said if you need cash the deal is off, unload the truck and leave " no no we can take check not sure how your husband misunderstood"
We paid the money they are storing our stuff till we purchase another home then they will deliver it. Storage is first month is free then was supposed to be $650.00 a month. We get a call today telling us it went up to $950, well they have our property held hostage, they know exactly what they are doing. These people are shady, customer service is no service. Please learn from our mistakes, I did my research and this company had top reviews. Give this company a pass.
