This is absolutely the worst company ever! Initially , when we were shopping for movers to help move my 83 year old mother home from Florida to NY, time was of the essence because of deteriorating health , we came across A1A Movers because they were the only company that was " originally " able to accommodate our short notice. They gave us a price which was in line with other companies, however they agreed to have our belongs delivered right way. Next, of course it was the deposit, then came the first delay, after the first delay , the second deposit was needed, and of course on the day they picked up the furniture , we were extorted for an additional $987 ( cash only). So currently we have exceeded the estimate given to us in the beginning. Eventually Furniture was finally picked up! Since that day, they have not returned calls, promise to call back, and never have. Finally we get the call 14 days later, get ready your stuff will be there tomorrow., We are now 3 days past the call for delivery, so we call back. Of course another story! We still don't have our belongings, we have paid $900 more than the estimate, they are telling us we owe $900 more, and no delivery date, just have the cash ready! I'm filling with the State Attorney General Monday morning ( Original estimate $1699) ( Currently $3000 and not delivered)

We were overcharged by almost 20% compared to the quote we were given without any warning or update throughout the day. We were only moving 15 minutes and couldn’t even get our furniture wrapped. Multiple items were broken and all but a few boxes weren’t even labeled when we were told they would be. Even after we brought these concerns to the owner, he firmly denied that his workers did anything wrong. We spent thousands of dollars to get our personal items moved and instead we will now be spending thousands more to replace and fix the disaster of a choice we made to hire A1A Movers. Please consider any other company before using this disaster of a company so you do not have a similar horrific experience.

They are brokers and will scam you and charge you hundreds of dollars above the amount you were quoted. They will also promise you move dates they can't live up to and their customer service department is awful. Please save yourself the stress and anxiety and use and better company.

The worst experience I have had in 65 years of my life,they lie to you and tell you things that are not true. They threaten you to keep your things they made me change paper that I had signed in the start because they did not accept the dates that were on paper work if I didn't the would keep my stuff and would have pay for storage until I changed paper work. Very dishonest company. The first sales person would tell you anything you want to hear. NO GOOD COMPANY! !!!

Constantly spammed my email even after several replies asking to stop. I will be looking at other companies for my move because of how uncomfortable this made me feel.

This company is grossly mismanaged. If you are a service member, I recommend calling the TMP and changing out service providers if you get this company. If that’s not an option for you, If they don’t show when they are supposed to, call your TMP and report them immediately. If they try to move your dates around, call your TMP and report them. I tried to deal with this company directly and it was a complete mess due to their incompetence. Andy the operations manager is seems like good guy but doesn’t have the resources to lead everyday operations for this company. He will tell you the reason why things are delayed is because they are shorthanded workers and overwhelmed with other moves they have to complete. Don’t be like me and feel sorry for them because at the end of the day they will treat you and your belongings with complete disrespect. The A1A Movers refused loading of my new treadmill onto their truck unless I paid them $700 additional dollars at the very last minute before leaving my premise with some of my other household items. My original contract with the aforementioned moving company specifically included the transport of my new $6,000 treadmill which I was forced to leave behind because of the unreasonable extra moving charge. The movers told me at the last minute that the treadmill was too heavy to lift. The movers damaged the sheet rock in the basement while hauling furniture up the stairs. After having sent the A1A company photos depicting the damaged they had inflicted, they informed me that I would need to pay them an additional expense for them to come and make the repairs. I also took pictures of damaged household items, such as wooden book cabinets and expensive living room lamp items. Those photos were subsequently sent to the A1A company which I requested compensation for. My request was rejected. Most of my household furniture was left behind because the movers suddenly and unexpectedly told me that I would need to pay additional charges for service which had already been agreed upon in the original contract. Upon arrival at my new residence, the movers demanded $500 dollars as an additional charge because they claimed that their truck could not enter the premise (I live on a property consisting of 100 acres of farmland and woods), and that they would hold my furniture ransom until I made the additional CASH payment immediately.

No even one star!, This was the worst experience in my life. This company is not the cheaper one!! . Please read carefully: Alicia from sales team did a very good job, she got me as a customer, then the first crew arrived pretty sharp the day we agreed, they looked very professional, they treat every object as they were the owner, at least in from of me, I can´t say what happened in the truck cus I wasn´t there. Well they took my stuff to an storage for two weeks and then they sent them to me to my new home. A1A surprised me, thanks to Stephany, she is great, they sent all my stuff when I need it, but what was wrong with this company?, a lot of thing arrived broken or damaged, they were treat in a very bad way, every box I opened looks like Godzilla stepped on it. My TV was protected, covered with a lot of cushions and in a box that I bought at home depot as Alicia recommend me to do, no matter what I did the TV arrived broken with a big big crash in the screen, a big big hit in the screen, I´m still paying the TV!!! and I can not use it because the crew was so rude with it. Well a that moment I was saying "well it is only the TV", but when we started unpacking we discovered a lot of boxes with the FRAGILE text outside... everything was broken inside these boxes, 10 cups, 15 glasses, 10 wine glasses, even one of my king bed leg was broken. What kind of people contract A1A?? I called Stephany and she said I have to write a claim to the insurance company, but I know how it works, nobody will take responsibility. it would be beautiful to me to write a new review about the solution presented by A1A.
