I worked at 84 lumber in Oxford Georgia let's just say they don't take pride in their product they use pretty bad looking wood to build your trusses to go in your house but their motto is once it's in the house and covered up you'll never see it again 84 lumber in Oxford Georgia is a joke.. they send out boards that are warped bents got holes in them I've seen bored crack and they take a plate and put a plate on it to attach it and send it out they really take no pride in what they do and I blame the supervisors in the office you got a white guy named David he's late everyday you know I does is sit in his office in his chair playing on his computer and then you have the dad and son Duo they're no good neither the dad is okay he'll get out on the floor and do some work but the sun is lazy and a liar oh and if you're not a Mexican they treat you very differently so if you don't speak Spanish you're not a Mexican you're not going to be happy there. I dealt with b******* since day one I was told by my supervisor twice that I would receive a raise and never received a raise few months go by I asked him what's going on he ignores me. Last week I lost my father to really bad car accident and I got in touch with my supervisor at 84 lumber and ask him what I needed to do to you know get it taken care of make sure I can get some grieving days and not lose my job well they never got in touch with me and told me nothing so I didn't come in for 3 days after an accident and when I did come back in they gave me a bunch of attitude and then they fired me said that I missed too many days but I told him that you know I just buried my father but they didn't show me any kind of sympathy or anything it's hard to believe that y'all are supposed to be a family grand company which I don't care about your employees family.. I would think twice before I even bought a piece of wood from them 84 lumber used to be a good place to work and they took care of their employees but nowadays no it's definitely went downhill and it's going down even worse when I first started builders were being paid by the foot but they stopped that and started paying us hourly but I expected the same amount of product out if not more and then they bumped their hours up we used to work from 6:00 to 2:30 p.m. now it's 6:30 to 4:30 p.m. and they make us work every Saturday you know I don't mind working and helping out the company but I need my days off and the weekends are my days. But anyways like I said I'm very disappointed with 84 lumber thanks for being there when I need a job the most I lost my father and y'all didn't even give me time to grieve and y'all fired me but it's okay¡ Ocean needs to make a surprise pop up too because they do not make you wear any proper PPE nor did they give you the proper training to run saws it's really dangerous environment oh sure would have a field day

I am very disappointed with my experience at 84 Lumber last weekend. I went there hoping to find better-quality materials and more professional and knowledgeable employees than I typically encounter at the local big-box stores. Unfortunately, neither was the case. The pressure-treated boards are stored outside in the parking lot, and the majority of the boards I looked at were bent and twisted. I purchased a couple hundred dollars’ worth of pressure-treated lumber from 84 Lumber, but chose to purchase the rest from Home Depot. I’m very happy that I did. I also special-ordered a small amount of Trex decking and asked if it could be cut into shorter lengths so I could transport it more easily. I was told that this would be no problem, but that cuts could only be made in 1-foot increments. I was also told the material would take approximately a week to arrive. After waiting a week, I went to the store to check on the order and was told that the order had never actually been placed and that I would have to wait another week. I had taken a week off from work specifically to build this deck, so this mistake delayed the completion of my project by another week or more. I eventually received a voicemail saying the material had arrived and was ready for pickup. I went to the store on Saturday morning, only to find that the material had not been cut yet. Two of the boards I ordered were 20 feet long. I understand that decking boards are often slightly oversized, so I asked if they could be cut in half at 120.5 inches so I would have two 10-foot boards, which was what my project required. I was told no because store policy only allowed cuts in 1-foot increments. Unfortunately, the employee making the cuts also had a very poor attitude and, in my opinion, went out of his way to do a careless job. I will be attaching pictures showing the different cut lengths from this order. While the cuts were being made, I asked another employee whether the special-color-matched deck screws required pre-drilling and, if so, what drill-bit diameter was recommended. He told me the recommended pre-drill size was 1.875 inches. He was otherwise very nice and courteous, but that answer was obviously questionable and did not inspire confidence in the product knowledge at the store. Maybe you will have a better experience if you are a contractor doing a lot of business with them, but as a DIY homeowner, my experience was extremely disappointing. Based on this experience, I would recommend that other homeowners consider shopping elsewhere. I expected better quality, better communication, and better customer service from 84 Lumber. Unfortunately, I did not get any of the three.

Ashland ky store has a shady salesman. He tried to charge me for materials I never asked for or received. Also sent out a bunch of stuff I didnt ask for. Long story short when I sent my inventories to have the invoices corrected he just ceases all contact and sent it to collections. And 84 corporate is no better.

On two separate occasions, I have called the 84 lumber here in Fort Myers, Florida. I Talked to two separate individuals, on two separate dates, to place an order for 2 fire doors. 3/8 fiberglass doors with two packs of shims for delivery. If they had the doors in stock, I would’ve paid for them then an arrange for delivery. The First guy said someone would get back to me. I guess they had to send it to some kind of pricing Department. The second guy apologizes for the first guy and says he’ll get right on it. Today, more than a week later, I have received no information about the fire doors. I built a home through one of their packages in Maryland and it was a pleasant experience. Now I’m just ignored or They don’t even care. Needless to say, I won’t be doing business with 84 lumber. B. Zero stars if I could ! 84 lumber in Clovis is the worst. They loaded the wrong product, I ordered 1 inch hardy board and they loaded the wrong size. When I called and asked, they told me that hardy board didn’t come in a 1 inch. They called me a few minutes later and told me that it does come into 1 inch, but their technician loaded the wrong size into our vehicle trailer. When I complained and told them that I was going out of town and now my contractor didn’t have the right size materials. I asked them to deliver the right product, Chris, an employee, said that’s not how it works. He instructed me that it is my responsibility to make sure they load the right product. Previous interactions with this company have also been a total failure. We’ve ordered the number one quality boards for our project and they have lost our orders more than once. We end up waiting for a week or two for the product, and then have to re-order it again and wait another week or two because they lose orders. Horrible, horrible, horrible customer service.!!! Did I say their customer service is horrible? Their service is horrible!!

Ordered 5 doors weeks and weeks ago. Only have 2 of the 5 and I'm supposed to have them all to sell my house in 5 days. They made several promises to have the doors but told us the mill screwed up the work THREE times. They don't return ANY calls, they don't offer any help, this business is AWFUL to deal with. Will never go back!

This review pertains to the Savannah 84 Lumber office. When I came in, it was a complete disaster. There was stuff all over the floor. It looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in months. I waited at the desk for 15 minutes before someone came up to help me. After that, they proceeded to show me where to pick up seven couple pieces of lumber I needed, and no one followed me out to help me load it up. I had to do it all by myself, which I was getting plywood so that was a bit of a struggle. I definitely would not recommend this store to anyone trying to get lumber , or any other supplies of that nature. DEFINITELY LOOK AT ELSEWHERE! also, the store manager was the one that came and helped me at the front and I noticed as soon as he got finished, checking me out and telling me where to pick up my lumber he just walked right back into his office and sat back down in his chair. Terrible service, one of the worst I’ve ever seen!

We used 84 Lumber for most of the building materials for our new family room addition. We had issues: some of the flooring subfloor was never delivered and I had to call for another delivery. Much of the lumber was realy poor quality with splits and some actually broke in 2 when we moved them! The worst was the trusses that we ordered. The company they deal with and their sales rep, Frank Tonkovich of ACCURATE HOUSING SYSTEMS INC are horrible! They were supposed to call as to let us know when the trusses were to be delivered. They never did and they actually dropped the trusses in the drainage culvert along the road at 5:45 in the morning! But that was not the end - the trusses when installed were not sized correctly! We had everything verified by the plans but the actual trusses were built incorrectly. They were too tall and the overhangs were almost 8 inches too long. These inept people from 84 lumber and Accurate Housing Systems caused us so much additional work and additional costs because of their screw-ups! These guys are so unprofessional and lacked any care or concern when I reached out to them about the issues. They pretty much just brushed it off saying that it was not their issue. I would never use 84 lumber and Accurate Housing Systems again and highly encourage you to go elsewhere for your lumber and trusses. Save yourself the time, money and lack of customer service.
