I have been a listener for a few weeks now and my experience has been positive for the most part. I have met a lot of kind people, both members and listeners. I agree with the other reviewers though: there is not enough quality control. Some members told me about listeners who have ghosted or gaslighted them in horrible ways. Listeners can go through trainings voluntarily but there are barely any required trainings. I think that that would be necessary though. There are also a tons of members who are there for nothing but sexting. It is also annoying that you can write about sexual health topic but cannot even write penis without it getting censored. All in all, I really like the idea behind the platform but there are some things that should be improved.

I myself used 7cups as a member and the support I received was immense at such a hard time, I was going through a MC. In turn I decided I would try myself to become a listener to give back since 7cups helped me so much. It’s a great platform. Obviously sometimes not everyone is as nice as they seem but there’s always that gamble with the internet. In a world where we can be anything be kind.
