They will actively sabotage you
I usually give companies the benefit of the doubt because we all make mistakes, but this company will actively try to sabotage you. I had a 1,000-person event, and I told them not to ship any books unless they would get here the day before. They said, "Great, shipped the books." The tracking then said it was not getting here the day before. It was getting here on event day. Then I called the shipping company on event day, and they said it wouldn't get here until next week. 48 Hour Books was unconcerned. They said, "This is not our problem." When I tried to get authorization from 48 Hour Books to release it for a dock pickup which the shipping company required (because I was paying extra money out of pocket to have somebody with a truck go out and get the books from the shipping company), 48 Hour Books refused to email the email address given to me by the shipping company to authorize the release. They would only email their specific representative, which did not qualify for release. Which i told them three times. The worst part is they lied to me about this. I asked them three different times, and each time they said they did it when they actually didn't. Now I'm holding a 1,000-person live event, spending all day on the phone with a shipping company and talking to 48 Hour Books customer support, who is lying to me and actively trying to sabotage me, instead of participating in the event, which took a year to plan. After many hours of trying to get it released and many extra dollars out of my own pocket, we are finally picking up the books. No thanks to 48 Hour Books. This is one of the worst companies I have ever worked with. They they will not take responsibility for their mistakes, and they will lie to you about it in the process. Buyer beware.
