Subject: Formal Complaint Regarding Unsatisfactory Delivery Service of My 1940 Coupe Dear 485Logistics, I am writing to express my deep disappointment with the service I received during the transportation of my 1940 coupe from Delaware to California. The contracted delivery time was to take four days; however, the vehicle was not delivered until after an additional four days, totaling eight days in transit. Worse yet, the experience throughout this entire process was highly unprofessional and frustrating. After the fifth day with no update or delivery of my car, I attempted to contact the driver, who hung up on me. I then reached out to your office at 485Logistics, and to my disbelief, I was again hung up on. It wasn’t until I contacted my broker, explained the situation, and had them reach out to your company that I was informed the driver had broken down 700 miles away in Utah. Despite being told the truck would take a couple of days to repair, this delay extended far longer. When my wife called a couple of days later, she was falsely informed that the truck was back on the road, which was evidently untrue when I followed up to learn the truck was still broken down in Utah. This miscommunication and dishonesty only made matters worse. When the car was finally delivered, the driver showed up unannounced and attempted to drop off my car in my neighbor's driveway. Upon speaking to him, I realized he did not speak English and could only communicate through a translator. I also found it unacceptable that after I handed over a check for $1,500.00, the driver refused to provide a receipt. Even when I offered to write a hand receipt for him to sign, he again refused. Given that the initial agreement was to deliver the car within four days, and it ultimately took eight, I believe I was entitled to a discount, yet no one from your company has reached out to address this concern, nor do I expect they will based on my experience. Additionally, the vehicle was washed before pickup, yet it arrived covered in dust and fine sand, further indicating the lack of care taken during transit. This entire ordeal was highly unprofessional, with poor communication, dishonesty, and a complete disregard for customer service. Based on my experience, I would strongly advise others to look elsewhere for their transport needs. I hope you take this feedback seriously and make the necessary improvements to avoid such situations in the future. Sincerely, David M. Hayden

Pros: Vehicle arrived intact. Driver was courteous. Cons: Vehicle arrived late. Advised that the truck broke down. Vehicle was covered in dust. So much so it had to be taken to car wash immediately. B4 washing car wash personnel advised it may have to go thru wash twice because of amount of dust on it.

Excellent experience from initial contact through delivery. The team proactively communicated every step of the way and was available without fail to answer all of my questions. They kept me updated on the status of pickup and delivery, met their anticipated schedule, and followed up to make sure I was happy with their services. Highly recommend.
