All the jsk’s I’ve bought so far (three, with a fourth coming in December) have been very high quality. There’s a few brands I would avoid (like Sugar Girl and Hanguliang) because they’re lower quality, but they aren’t scams. You would still get whatever was offered, it just wouldn’t be as high quality as some other brands (like Twilight Zone, Alice Girl, and Love Notebook/ZhiJinYuan). My blouse was lovely and top tier, and I’ve spent a lot of money here!! The only downside (other than the fast-fashion-type brands I mentioned before) is the shipping. I completely understand why it’s high, since I’m in the US. It’s not their fault, and is just something to keep in mind if shopping from somewhere with expensive shipping right now.

To be fair, 42lolita is a lot more reliable and has better service than Devilinspired. However, if you do a quick search on Taobao, you'll realize their prices are still heavily marked up—often close to double the original retail price. Another minor disappointment is that they don't really feel like part of the EGL community. It comes across more like a standard commercial company capitalizing on a niche market, rather than a shop run by passionate community members. If you prefer convenience and don't mind paying the extra premium, they get the job done. But if you want to save money and truly support the brands, using a Taobao shopping agent is still the better route.

Product quality: Good relative to the prices. The more pricey items on their site are of higher quality then their cheaper items (based on the 14 Items I've gotten so far). Shipping: My 4 shipments have all arrived well ahead of time. Though the expected shipping times were quite long, especially on pre-orders.

I ordered a 40 USD bag from them and it took about 2 weeks to arrive at my doorstep here in Canada. The parcel was labelled as a gift so I wasn't hit with any duties or customs fees! The bag was just as described and everything was packaged well. They also included a small gift of socks with my order. I'm overall very satisfied with my experience buying from 42lolita :)

The sizing is a little off (it's a bit smaller than on the site) but other than that it's great

i recently ordered a few items from here, and even though i haven't got them yet, i had asked for an exchange in the dress, and they were very quick in replying and very polite when answering questions, amazing customer service! edit 2026/4/22: i got my dress and it came within the delivery time!

I had a situation, where the local post courier didn't do their job and just didn't deliver my package (because they are a crap company). The 42 Lolita staff acted fast and did everything so the package will get back to me. Finally got my package on time. Very good and professional customer service, they really want to help you.

The shipping was fast. They sent a lot of updates and the communication was really fast when there was some problem with my address. They even went out of their way and sent me reminders to pick up my package. Overall a pleasant experience. Clothes looked nice too. Will purchase from this store again!
