Acceptable but needs improvement
Was recommended this firm from a friend who also received a comprehensive back taxes service. Price: 2/5 - not really competitively priced compared to other firms offering the same service, would definitely recommend shopping around before deciding on this one Service: 3/5 - while they were able to prepare all the necessary documents from the questionnaires I completed for them, they were rife with typos and strange errors, and it seemed like my documents were being passed around from assistant to assistant without updating each other. Only after a long process of careful proofreading and uploading/downloading revision after revision did I obtain a set of documents that appeared to be in order. Professionalism & communication: 4/5 - Communication was generally clear and courteous. after the error correction process I was indeed a bit irritated and distrustful with them. Their online invoice system automatically slapped a 10% late fee on my invoice (as it had been sent a month before the document preparation had completed), but they removed it when I brought the issue up. Throughout the process, they answered my questions relatively promptly and were acceptably punctual with the processing. Overall: 3/5 - as long as I don't go to jail and/or owe the IRS tens of thousands of dollars due to mistakes in the documents, then I'll call this a "satisfactory result." If you do hire them be sure to do your research, shop around, and check your documents carefully, as they appear to be error prone in their document preparation.
