Ich lese nun seit einigen Jahren das Writers-Digest-Magazin und war froh, dass ich, als deutscher Kunde, ein günstiges E-Abo abschließen konnte und mir das Magazin im pdf-Format geliefert wurde. Seit der aktuellen Ausgabe, wird WD über zinio ausgeliefert. Durch das Magazin zu blättern dauert lange, man kann das Magazin auf weniger Geräten lesen (z.B. kann ich es nicht mehr über den Kindle lesen), ausdrucken kann man das Magazin nur Seite für Seite, ... Nach Jahren habe ich nun mein WD-Abo gekündigt und bin wirklich traurig darüber. Aber ich zahle nicht für einen Service, den ich nicht genießen kann. --- I am reading Writers Digest for years now. As a german reader, I was glad to get it as a e-Zine-Abo in pdf-format. But now WD sells the magazine via zinio. Browsing through the magazine is slow, you can use it on fewer devices than the pdf-version (e.g. can't read it on kindle), printing the magazine is only possible site by site, ... After years, I cancelled my WD subscription and I am really sad about it. But I won't pay for a service, I cannot enjoy.

I've had Zinio magazines for several years. They are quick to ask you to renew but not provide the truth when trying to sell you new magazines. I received an email on my IPad offering the special final issue of Playboy magazine prior to its changing format. Nowhere in the email did it say that you wouldn't be able to read the magazine on your IPad. I made the purchase and after trying for a number of days to see if it were added to my magazines I contacted customer service. Only then did they say that certain magazines (adult) could not be viewed on Apple devices because of Apple's and Googles rules. That's pure censorship by Apple and Google if that is even the truth. They could care less that they offered you the magazine on your IPad with no warning whatsoever that it could not be read. Instead of fixing the problem and standing up to Apple and Google they just keep sending the same old whiny excuses blaming other parties. In a country with freedom of speech and what we read Zinio is not only missrepresentating when they sell, they won't stand up for the customers right to read anything they want to.

Bought a subscription for a magazine. For unknown reasons, the publication of the magazine stopped. When I contacted Zinio for a partial refund (relatively sized to the number of magazines I'd received before the deliveries stopped!), Zinio refused to pay back the difference, explaining that my subscription had "lapsed." Zinio: "Lapsing" (used in conjunction with subscriptions), means that a subscription has run its due cause and finished normally. YOU HAVE NOT DELIVERED, so no normal process has finished and thus nothing has "lapsed". When you don't deliver what you have promised, YOU PAY BACK THE DIFFERENCE if the customer requests it. Oh, and start answering customer mails a bit quicker! I'm NEVER buying anything from these pirates again! One star given because it's not possible to give any fewer, but I was considering sueing them.

Jeg købte en e-bog, og var tvunget til at læse den online på deres side, eller installere deres software for at læse den. Det stod der imidlertid intet om inden jeg købte den, og jeg regnede derfor med at jeg kunne hente den ned i iBooks og læse den der, men nej. Da jeg så skriver og beder om at annullere mit køb, hører jeg aldrig fra dem igen. Hold jer fra at handle hos Zinio!
