Subject: Feedback: Advertising Limitations on Zeno Radio Hello Zeno Team, I’d like to share my honest experience so far: Positive aspects: ✅ I can easily broadcast live events, and the streaming quality has been consistently good. Negative aspects: ❗ However, I’ve been unable to place traditional advertising on the platform—only live-event promotions are supported. This was unexpected, as my previous provider (Radio.co) allowed seamless ad placement alongside live shows. With Zeno, I can monetize live events but not run standard commercial breaks or ad slots. This limitation significantly impacts monetization strategy. I switched from Radio.co expecting a similar experience and ease of use—but I’ve found the opposite. My current stance: Due to the constraints around advertising, my team and I are seriously considering reverting to Radio.co, where we had full control over ad scheduling and integration. Suggestions moving forward: Expand ad support: Please enable pre-recorded ad placements or customizable mid-roll ads, similar to those offered by Radio.co. Monetization clarity: It’d help greatly if Zeno could clearly outline which advertising options are available per plan. (For example, Premier allows direct seller ads and pre-rolls Improved flexibility: Consider providing options outside of live-event-only promotion, such as mp3-based commercial insertion or scheduling slots. In summary: I appreciate Zeno’s platform for live broadcasting, but until I can place traditional ads conveniently, I don’t see it meeting my monetization needs. I hope this feedback helps you refine your offering for broadcasters like me. Thanks for listening—literally. Best regards,

Hi there, Thank you for your honest feedback and for choosing Zeno for your live broadcasts. You’re right—traditional radio stations typically insert on-air commercials using their own studio software. If you’re streaming from the cloud, you can absolutely run those same breaks through our Radio Automation tool: simply schedule your MP3 ad spots or jingles in advance, and our server will play them exactly when you want. We also offer programmatic pre-roll ads on live streams (currently available for Premier plans) to help you generate additional revenue without any manual uploads. Please get in touch at [email protected] so we can walk you through the setup for your current plan and explore all the ad options available to you.

Zeno.fm is very good if you have no other intentions but to use it to play music all day, or just for a podcast hosting, but it lacks the basic things a true internet radio station needs. 1) Schedule 2) A strong support platform 3) a better format to obtain nowplaying information to a website (Your website).... These things along will open up a door that will bring more individuals to the platform, right now it is only good for podcasting and music hosting, but individuals broadcasters like myself want to be able to grant their listener a varies of things without having to go around the block to obtain it. This is why I gave it a 4 star.
