Predatory Pre-Order Scheme – Intentionally Evades Financial Dispute Windows
Do not buy from this company. Yah'ki Awakened LLC utilizes false promises and intentional communication delays to string customers along for months. I placed a $160.00 book order back in January 2026 as a gift. For nearly a year, I was met with systemic excuses: email promises of a July delivery, followed by mass updates pushing it to September and absolute refusal to provide immediate tracking or refunds when calling customer support. Their business strategy is clear: they intentionally stall shipments to run out the automated 180-day protection windows on PayPal and credit cards so consumers lose their standard dispute rights. The St. Louis Better Business Bureau already has an active public consumer warning issued against this entity for pocketing consumer funds and withholding shipments. It took me formally filing fraud reports with the Missouri Attorney General, the FTC, BBB of MO, the FBI IC3 Team and the CFPB to finally force their hand. Once the legal and administrative pressure was applied, they scrambled and issued a manual refund via PayPal on October 19th. They will ignore you, lie to you and glitch their internal systems to keep your cash. The ONLY way to get your money back from Marc A. Hickman and his operation is to bypass their support entirely and file formal consumer protection complaints with state authorities and regulatory bureaus. Save your peace of mind and stay far away!
