What a NIGHTMARE! The phone service itself is actually pretty good but God help you if you need to deal with customer service. For a company that claims to be at the forefront of technology they are completely incompetent when it comes to the simplest task. I have repeatedly asked them for years to change my billing date ( only by a few days) and they claim that is beyond their capability. If you need good customer service from your phone company avoid them like the plague!!

Liars
Liars, crooks, manipulative, greedy the list goes on. This is the WORST company I've ever had the displeasure of using. They will change things on your account without your knowledge or consent to make the prices higher, if you try and contact them about it, they will 1000% lie and claim to fix it but never actually do. They cancelled my phone number and told me they could fix it by adding a new number to my account and then switching it back to the old one. Lol. He literally told me to wait 2 hours and my number would be reverted back.... 6 hours go by and NOTHING. I'm stuck with this new number that I never wanted, and it's been a huge inconvenience. Not to mention how I returned a phone I got from them before the 14-day limit, and they never gave me my refund but acknowledged that they received the return. MY ACCOUNT STILL SAYS PROCESSING.
I have dealt with so many awful experiences with them. Do yourself a favor and file a report against them with BBC, trying to talk and find to Xfinity for an explanation or solution to their BS will get you nowhere!

Negative 11
Negative 11. The worst ever. We have (trying to leave) xfinity mobile. Signed up when we had xfinity internet. When we signed up for home internet we were told we would have unlimited data. We signed up for xfinity mobile to try to save a few bucks by bundling. A few months in on home service we got a message that we were about to exceed our data limit. Apparently they were experimenting with a data cap and using our area as a test area. That went on for a few month late and I think several people sued them, so they dropped it… for a while. About a year later we started hitting our non-existent data cap again. Finally got fed up with it and by chance att fiber was finally available in our area so we decided to dump xfinity. They told us we would have to maintain some kind of service or get an additional service charge per line on our mobile phones. Since we were still paying off our phones I signed up for home phone service since it was the cheapest service they offered. Still got charged the service fee per line. Went into xfinity store and the dude told me the customer service tech told me wrong that we had to have internet service to not have to pay the extra charges. We sucked it up and paid the fees monthly. We finally paid off our phones and are trying to port our numbers to a new carrier. The security pin they gave us wouldn’t work. I called customer service to try to resolve. They asked if we had access to the phone on the account because they would have to text it. We had already switched the SIM cards to the new carrier so I told them no. They said their policy was that it had to be texted or someone would have to physically go to the store to get the PIN number. My wife went to the store. They still didn’t give her the PIN number, but the dude said they would “unlock” our phone lines and to expect an email or text with the pin in one to two days. That was 5 days ago. No pin. I would love nothing more than to be done with them forever. If you are considering xfinity for anything I would suggest you let someone slam the car door on your head a few times. It will be less painful.

DON'T DO IT. DECEPTIVE. XFINITY WILL BE OUT OF MY HOME BY 2023
Like the other review...the salesman’s pitch of a reward of a $200 gift card THAT NEVER CAME. I too live in Baltimore and these guys only want to make a sale. Get the numbers per say. Stay with your Verizon, Sprint, TM, Metro. What they don't tell you is after your 1GB runs out, YOU'RE CHARGED FOR EVERY GIG USED AFTER THE 1GB. Oh if you're getting the equipment on lease, YOU CAN'T RETURN THE PHONE. YOU'RE STUCK. My daughter's bill was $548.50. I was furious cause the salesman was deceptive, I ASKED HIM DURING OUR CALL if she ran out would there be additional costs, he told me no, nothing to worry about but I could upgrade to the unlimited. The reason I asked is because that's typical of other carriers. Basically the goal is for them to upgrade you to unlimited. That's the sale. I was paying $30 for that line with MetroPCS, why would I want to go higher? I went to Xfinity because they could put the phone on my account, I was not able to get a plan under Metro for a phone. Later on I saw charges with Xfinity, I called to address charges I saw regarding phone and during our convo, I ask to be sure no other charges were coming with this phone. BOTH TIMES WERE ASKED and told BY TWO AGENTS the bill will not go up. The charges I was looking at had to do with the equipment.
THIRD AGENT, and well after giving her the what for for this bill that later on I see the amount of a car note, mortgage and other stuff. LISTEN, ANYONE HAVING THIS ISSUE WITH GOING OVER DATA, THIS ISN'T THEIR FIRST RODEO, cause unless it's a child or an elderly person, EVERYONE GOES THRU 1GB. If you leave an internet page open, you're using data. But I was ok with her data being slowed. Anywho, that's not the case, you're charge over 1 gb. I was transferred to a special department called "advantage services" and they would upgrade me to the unlimited plan. The guy gave me the 'we can't upgrade you with an outstanding balance.' Sooooo...basically you're saying I'm about to owe another $400 something on top of the $548 I'm already outstanding??? so now I'm looking at about $1000, what about months July - December??? I'll never be able to change my plan to unlimited. I told him THAT'S EXTORTION XFINITY.
At the end, he 'magically' changed my line to unlimited, I guess he found the switch to change it and my bill is $45 a month with the equipment, $77.16...add that to the owed $548 and wahlah. I'm paying $15 more than I was when that line was with MetroPCS. I only did it cause my daughter needed a new phone, her's was destroyed and I financially help my disabled mom and was just trying to save some pennies.
The jokes on me. By 2023 Xfinity will be out of my house. It takes 6 months to gain a new customer and 30 seconds to lose one.
I'm taking my home service away from xfinity and going back to MetroPCS and Verizon. Not to say they're better but it's principle. Don't promise ppl gift cards, don't withhold information WHEN YOU'RE ASKED, AND DON'T PROMISE WHAT YOU CANNOT DELIVER.

Don’t do it; RUN! Horrible service!
Don’t do it; RUN! While you may be tempted by the salesman’s pitch of a reward Visa of $300 and 5G service running off of Verizon, you will not get the bang for your buck! I rarely have service to make calls and use data UNLESS connected to Wi-Fi. I can’t use my cell at home without Wi-Fi as the signal/reception is terrible and I live in Baltimore City where there are “many towers”, they say. Be careful with going out of state/country, not even due to the roaming charges, but you may not even be able to utilize your cell phone. My friend went to Aruba and I went to PR and could barely get/make calls and could only use data (get/send texts/use GPS/etc.) if connected to Wi-Fi; that means we walked around in a foreign place unable to use our cell! Sooo dangerous! The other sad part is, Xfinity won’t discount anything from the bill and if you only have their mobile service, you’ll be forced to pay a $25 service fee with the same crappy reception. My bill is now $120 per month and I totally regret switching to Xfinity. I rarely experience the 5G that was promised and still have to connect to Wi-Fi to get decent service. Oh and good luck getting support from their reps; many struggle with understanding english and processing what you’re looking to have resolved. RUN to another provider people!

Honestly the worst
Honestly the worst, the biggest mistake you could make. Customer service has no idea how to handle anything. If someone with their service dies, you are screwed. Cant print a bill, get into account, or get real help. Incompetent doesnt even begin to describe, and the service is horrible.

Xfinity mobile service sucks
Xfinity mobile service sucks! It dropps calls, it is also slow. My Galaxy note 8 is faster than this crap, every time I call for help Xfinity says the problem is fixed when it is not. At the moment I am in my Backyard OUTSIDE AND WRITING THIS REVIEW FROM ANOTHER PHONE. You people should know more about the product you claim is the best when it's not. I can't wait to pay off this stupid phone and go to TMobile or anyone else other than Xfinity. Thank you Xfinity for basically making me pay over $1,000 for a phone that don't work very well
