Xfinity mobile sucks
Xfinity mobile sucks, period. We moved (2022) and they offered us a plan to replace our old plan (Verizon). When we did, it worked in one area and not in another as we travel separately for work. They told us that they had a partnership with Verizon but we would save money (lie, apparently regarding the partnership to lure us in). The cell service was poor initially and then improved over several months until we had no problems for about a year. Then the owned transferred phone )purchased from Verizon) went to sos mode. I went to the store and they said they could not do anything, not even determining if the phone was failing as my husband was the manager on the phone. They did give a new SIM card. I took it home and he called customer service, apparently in India; an hour and a half later, the SIM card was installed and they had told him how to add me. Phone didn’t work, still sos signal only. He couldn’t add me as manager as his phone showed that I was already on the account. I went back to the store and went in and even though we had added me as manager too, that didn’t show up online. After I called him from the store and he was questioned by the manager regarding his identity, they reluctantly agreed to examine my phone. They learned that the SIM card hadn’t been set up correctly by the customer service in India. After a half hour, phone worked. Today, in the middle of a call (I’m away from home), phone died and went sos mode again. After I went through the sos protocols and got the phone working again (but spotty and broken service) I went to the local Xfinity store two hours from home and was told that he had been entered twice as manger, they couldn’t talk to me about our phones or our service and he (2 hours away) would have to come to a store to scan his Id. They wouldn’t sell me a phone under his plan as I am not approved as manager. We are cancelling Xfinity tomorrow and going back to Verizon. If I could offer “0” stars I would.
