I started to follow Sho from Workhap at the begining of the year 2024. At that time, I felt burn out from my current healthcare job, so I want to change completely to different field, which is accounting. However, I did not know how to write my resume to match my skills which the field I want to apply or what to say in the interview. My friend showed me Sho's instagram and said that he created contents for people to look for job. I started to watch his reels on instagram, go to some of his free sessions for tips about resume & interview, and use his free resume template for revision. Follow Sho and Workhap, I learnt how to write transitional skills from my healthcare job to accounting job for my revised resune. I also used his advice to practice for interview and what questions should I ask for interviewer. Moreover, when I applied the job during summer and did not get a reply for a month, Sho's post mentioned about how people take vacation so it could take HR longer time to get back to to interviewee, which encouraged me a lot. After I wait for 2 more weeks, I received an offer from a civil engineering for hybrid accounting job. They put me in the middle range for salary which is much higher than I expect. I receive all my healthcare benefit & retirement that is way better than I expect ( Sho also gave you tip for how to look into this in job description). Truly grateful to Workhap’s generous sharing of their knowledge on recruitment! I benefited greatly from Sho Dewan’s tips! I’ve been job hunting for months, and I’m in a very specialized/niche profession. This past year has been particularly tough for our field because of large-scale layoffs, so us new grads had to compete with experienced professionals. I have done a total of 25+ interviews and was often told that I was a “top candidate but we hired someone else with experience.” A couple of months ago, I found Workhap and tweaked my interviewing strategy, particularly in the way I introduced myself and the questions I asked towards the end which I think really helped me stand out! I think the biggest takeaway was to sound as conversational as possible, be relaxed and carry oneself with confidence, and asking smart questions towards the end like “What aspects of my background can I emphasize to the hiring manager?” or “I know this is a competitive position. What else can I share about my background to help you with your decision?” Thank you, Workhap!!!

December 2023: I was laid off from a Software Tech company and felt unsure about my job search. Despite 2 years of experience in Software Development, my confidence was low, and I didn't know where to start. January 2024 : Coincidently enough, I came across Sho’s 3 Day Job Search workshop through his Instagram. Through the workshop, I came across GHA and was curious to know more about it. It honestly took me a while to convince my self to be able to financially invest in GHA and figure out whether I’m going into this Job Search alone, or with GHA’s help. With that mindset, I went ahead & joined GHA. In the past 6 months, I was able to reevaluate my goals, identify the type of company I wanted to work with, tailored & edited both, my resume and LinkedIn several times and eventually secured my dream role! The cherry on top, was that I was able to negotiate my salary $30K MORE THAN my previous job - which was something that I thought I could never do! It was definitely worth the wait! Sho & the entire Workhap team are incredibly helpful. It's reassuring to have support and not feel alone in this journey. If you're new to job searching, transitioning industries, or returning from a career break, GHA is definitely a valuable investment for your job search journey!

Sho has given me so much knowledge and insights into getting that dream job through strategically planning out your resume and standing out during the interview process. Definitely recommend everyone to apply for the GHA program if your looking for a new career, relocating to another country to work in, or starting out your career and wanting to get your foot in the door.

Great insight on resume & interview tips. I have successfully gained interviews and job offers in Sydney after learning some tips from Workhap. Have been trying different methods from other websites for 6 months and I did not get any response from any hiring managers. After changing my mindset , I attended the 3-day Job Search Summit and learnt a lot of useful tips from Workhap. I successfully gained offers and attention from the hiring team through my new resume!

GHA: A Life-Changing Investment As an international grad student with less than 4 months to graduate, I was desperate to land a job. Joining GHA was a big financial decision, but it was worth every penny. By the end of my program, I had a job offer in hand. The strategies, personal advice, and amazing cohort made all the difference. Sho's dedication to each of us was incredible. The resume, LinkedIn, networking, and interview tips were game changers. I thought I knew job searching, but GHA showed me I had a lot to learn. While other students in my master's program struggled to find jobs, I always felt a step ahead. Luck plays a part, but being prepared is crucial, and GHA prepared me. As a fresh grad, I secured a project manager position, and I owe a big part of that to Sho and GHA. A quote that sums it up: "Give a man a fish, and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish, and you feed him for a lifetime." Sho truly taught me how to fish. GHA was an investment that paid off big time. The personalized guidance and support I received were invaluable, and I highly recommend GHA to anyone serious about their career.

All the content given is very useful, however there are three aspects that I found differentiating about working with Sho and his team. First is that Sho helps us fight our limiting beliefs. One would not think one would get those extra gems in a program like this and I think he helps us find confidence in ourselves and see the potential we have that sometimes we ourselves do not see! Second is that I truly cherished that he checked in with me about 8months or so after the program was over. It meant a lot that he checked on me - I had been applying but I was getting the feeling that I was not doing something right - , I was not expecting that and I think that little message and his extra tips and hints helped me finally cross the ts and dot the is to continue get the ball rolling and thanks to that and the dedication I finally got a new job and I am super happy that I am now leaving a toxic environment, and getting a higher salary and much better conditions! Lastly, I also do cherish that he helps you put things into perspective and makes you realise that mental health is super important and that we should look for an environment that is healthy, more than anything else.
