My wife and I drove an hour to visit…
My wife and I drove an hour to visit the wonder bar. We had read good things about it. When we got there they charged us $10 per person to get in. My wife and I brought our dog in. I went to the bar to get us some drinks while my wife and dog mingled with others. Our dog is a little shy until she gets to know other people and dogs, one dog wouldn’t leave her alone and she growled at it. Immediately the, I’m tougher than you, dog bouncer lady kicked us out! Would not let us take our drinks, and would not give us our money back. Per the website there is a doggie time out area that they claim to put your dog in if it needs to be separated from other dogs for a bit. We were never given that option. We were just thrown out! We were not even in there 5 minutes! They essentially stole $40 from us (admission and drinks). We will never go back for any reason. As a matter of fact we will never go back to Asbury Park or support any business there. There’s too many other places we can go that are within an hour’s drive of us. They didn’t give us a second chance, so we’re not giving them or that community a second chance, and that is very much not like us.
