Thank you for your review. However, several statements made here are factually incorrect and require clarification. When your order was placed on December 16th, our website clearly and prominently stated a processing time of 6–8 business days due to peak holiday order volume. December 16th is not “way before the holiday season”, it is during the busiest time of the year. Your order shipped 7 business days after it was placed, which is exactly within the time frame disclosed at checkout and prior to purchase. Processing times can vary compared to prior orders, particularly during peak seasons. All products are made to order and orders are fulfilled in the order they are received. Hundreds of customers placed orders before December 16th, and it would not be fair or reasonable to prioritize later orders ahead of earlier ones. Sales tax is not “overpriced” or set by us. It is legally required and calculated based on state and local regulations. Shipping costs are determined entirely by the carrier and smaller orders often appear to have higher shipping costs per item due to carrier pricing structures. We are a wholesale company so we do not have shipping costs built into the price of the product. Our business is not being run poorly or differently than before. The only difference during this time was a significant increase in order volume, which was clearly communicated in advance. Your order was processed and shipped exactly as promised. While we respect all feedback, this review does not accurately reflect the facts or our business.

All of our fragrances are formulated and tested to ensure they have distinct scents that accurately reflect their intended scent profiles. All products are quality checked before shipping, so feedback like this is very uncommon for us. It’s worth noting that scent perception can vary from person to person depending on individual skin chemistry and sensitivity to certain fragrance notes. This can sometimes make a fragrance seem lighter or less noticeable to some wearers. We take great pride in offering high quality oils and maintaining long-standing relationships with thousands of satisfied customers over the years. To clarify, your previous orders were placed between 2011 and 2016. There was no order placed in 2020, so it’s possible you may be confusing us with another company. During our recent phone conversation, you expressed a preference for "thick oils." We’d like to reiterate that we have never offered thickened oils, as we do not use unnecessary additives or fillers to alter the viscosity of our fragrances. Thick oils outside of certain musks, contain filler ingredients that compromise the integrity of the scent. We'd also like to clarify that ALL oils intended for use on the body contain a carrier oil, such as DPG, to ensure safe application and proper performance. We also noted that your dissatisfaction with our fragrances is not new, as you expressed similar concerns in 2016 and requested complimentary products at that time. While we strive to accommodate our customers whenever possible, it appears our products may not align with your expectations, and that’s okay. Not every product is a perfect match for every customer. Please know that we have used the same trusted manufacturers and formulations for over 27 years. Any changes made over time (such as the removal of phthalates and other potentially harmful ingredients) have been in full compliance with IFRA guidelines and only serve to improve the safety and quality of our offerings. We regret that your experience has not been a positive one, and we wish you the best in finding a fragrance supplier that better suits your preferences.

Thank you for sharing your opinion. As we explained via email, our oils have always had a thinner consistency. We do not use fillers or thickeners that could compromise the purity and quality of the product. Most fragrances should resemble the consistency of essential oils, which are naturally thin. The issue is with the specific fragrances selected and how they perform on your skin, not the product. The fragrances you chose are lighter scents. Fragrance performance is influenced by many factors, including body chemistry, skin type, fragrance composition and environmental conditions. We provided detailed advice via email on how to improve longevity, but you chose not to engage with us and instead filed a dispute on the payment - despite agreeing to our terms at checkout. We’d like to emphasize that our formula and manufacturing processes have remained consistent for over 27 years. The only variable in this transaction was the specific fragrances you selected. While we regret your disappointment, it’s not accurate to suggest that our products have changed or are of lesser quality based on this experience. We stand by the integrity of our products, which is supported by the loyalty of our long-term customers and our ongoing repeat business. First, please note that we do not offer unscented fragrances. Our products are body oils and do not contain water. We did respond to your email but did not receive a reply. I also reviewed past conversations from February 2023 and June 2016, where you expressed similar concerns about the scent being faint or unnoticeable. In each instance, we requested clarification on which specific fragrance was at issue and provided troubleshooting suggestions, but unfortunately did not hear back from you. We truly value your continued support since 2015, and we’re pleased to see that you’ve generally been satisfied with our products. You’ve tried a variety of scents, with a few consistent choices like So New York and Brooklyn. However, without knowing which fragrance is causing concern, it's challenging for us to investigate or provide a resolution. To address another concern, we take pride in the quality of our products. Every fragrance we offer is carefully formulated by an experienced perfumer through chemical analysis, and produced in a professional fragrance manufacturing facility. We do not use unknown or generic substances. Our business has thrived for over 25 years, largely thanks to the loyalty of repeat customers. It’s also important to remember that fragrance is highly personal. Factors such as body chemistry, skin condition, climate and even seasonality can affect how a scent performs. If a particular scent does not work for you, we recommend choosing others that you’ve had a better experience with in the past. As for packaging, we prioritize sustainable and cost-effective materials. While we understand preferences vary, we’ve chosen not to use bubble wrap due to its limited recyclability. This helps us reduce waste and keep costs down for our customers. Our return and refund policies are clearly stated on our website. We encourage all customers to review them before purchasing. Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re sorry to hear that the fragrances you selected didn’t meet your expectations. To get the most accurate impression of a fragrance, we always recommend testing it individually on the skin rather than smelling multiple scents from the bottle at once. When sampled together, especially from the bottle, different fragrances can start to blend and lose their distinctiveness. Your order included a couple of bold, sweet scents (such as Lick Me All Over and Pink Sugar), while others like B Rouge and Obsession have a very different profile. Our oils are blended with DPG, which is an unscented carrier oil. This carrier oil does not alter the fragrance in any way. We always suggest starting with samples, especially when trying scents that aren’t reproductions. Half of your order included reproductions, while the other half featured our own unique blends, which can vary more widely in character. We appreciate your support and are always happy to help find the perfect scent for you!
