April 28th purchased 3 products: Balmar alternator protector, Victron Multiplus II and Gold Membership all online. I would get 20% store credit points because of sales promotion. Thee Victron would be store delivered on May 13th. May 14th I checked online and found that the Victron Multiplus II was "No Longer Available" and money was still in my account. On May 21st got email from West Marine about filing Chapter 11 and would be business as usual. On May 26th I checked my bank account and saw a payment of $1164 to West Marine for a Victron Multiplus II and was livid. On May 28th West Marine called me to pick up, but was flaming. June 1st I went in and told cashier I was returning. Cashier said that "because you have not picked it up that I was not charged" called manager up to register and about 5 minutes later was refunded.

Same story as others. No one will answer the phone so it take days or weeks to get anything done. At the end of the day they sent me the wrong item ($400) and wont respond.

the grand haven west marine only has one girl working in there at almost any given time the manager is always gone somewhere poor girl gets no help in there she was a trooper with custmoers vendors and a truck all at once the manager of that store on the other hand not so good noticed him always hiding in the office

I had a very frustrating experience with the West Marine website. I placed an order and never received it. There was no clear communication or notification about any issue with my purchase. After waiting a long time, I contacted customer support via chat. The wait time itself was excessive, and when I finally got a response, I was told that my order had been canceled and the items were no longer available. This was the first time I was informed—there had been no prior notice or update. This lack of communication and poor customer service is extremely disappointing. Customers should not have to chase down information about their orders, especially only to find out they’ve been canceled without notice. Overall, a very negative experience. I would expect much better communication and reliability from an established retailer.

Very unhappy with the quality of the NEW kayak I just had delivered. It is scratched, dented and even a 1 inch cut on the edge, One of the drain plugs is not even pushed in all the way and does not fit in any further, I need to make the hole larger. Also very unhappy with my USED kayak I purchased that the staff failed to mention takes on any water that comes onto the surface of the kayak. Holes from seat and two drain plugs are not sealed and took in soooo much water, I nearly sank on my first trip out (it rained on us, lightly, no one else in the group of 10 ppl had an issue). Luckily, I and my kayak were rescued by a passing pontoon boat. Wish I had not spent my money here. I will never purchase a kayak from here again. They should not be allowed to sell them. Used kayak is not sea-worthy, and new kayak is beat up and looks used. Not worth half of what I spent.

Ordered product and was charged when order placed. Waited 15 days no shipping confirmation. Contacted support (they don't answer phones and you must chat online. Waited 20 min) they said they would get it shipped in a few days. Waited another 15 days,, no update. Contacted support (waited 30 min) they said they sent the order out but could not verify it had shipped yet. 30 DAYS LATER! They would not issue a refund. They are holding my money hostage and preventing me from buying from a reputable company and completing a much needed repair. AVOID WORST MARINE AKA West Marine

placed an order, and 7 days later, still didn't received it, and I live about 40 minutes from the store, website says it has been shipped and it it determining the ETA, no track number provided, called the store, and they said, it was sold to a third party delivery company and there's nothing they can do... buying from china is much faster.

Placed an online order on April 13th. They advertise order will be received by the 20th. On the 20th I check the status and it shows item still hasn't shipped. You can only speak to them via online chat. After waiting for 28 customers ahead of me finally got someone who said they would reorder the item and give me guaranteed 2nd day air. After 2 days item still hadn't shipped. Waited again. Was told I would be refunded the money in 24 to 48hrs. The next day they send an email stating the money was placed on a gift card for their store!!!!! Waited again and was told they would have the accounting department look into it. Nothing but crickets now. The online store is a straight up scam. Do your research, I'm not alone.
