Western Journal was one of the sites with the "highest amount of election-related disinformation" (2020 election disinformation) according to Disinformation Index, which tracks disinformation by country. This site is owned by Liftable Media, Inc. and has a sordid past in promoting deliberate falsehoods for profit. This company has received COVID bail-out money while promoting false information on their sites about COVID and vaccinations. The Liftable-owned website Western Journal has been blacklisted by Google, for what it deemed deceptive business practices, as well as by Apple News, for promoting “views overwhelmingly rejected by the scientific community.” Basically, this is a well-funded opinion site that promotes false and misleading information as being newsworthy.
