My hero!
Woke up in the middle of the night with the familiar pains of a UTI. Bore it till the morning only to find out my GP was out for a week, hand't managed to find a doctor to cover his practice. My options were to sit in UTI pain in the ER for hours (pure Hell) or go to the nearest Urgent Care and be overcharged for whatever ream of unnecessary extra testing they chose from the dart board (I caught on to that scam when they gave my husband an EKG and X Ray for the flu.) MD Proactive popped up in my search engine. I'd heard of similar sites on NPR, and decided I had nothing to lose. Within an hour of entering my info, the doctor called, discussed my symptoms, decided on a course of action, and sent off a prescription for an antibiotic and those little pills that turn your pee orange and help with the pain to my pharmacy. I am now much more comfortable, peeing orange and on my way to recovery. All for LESS than Urgent Care, and without the slog of sitting in the ER waiting room for hours and hours.
